Updated on July 11th, 2021, by Michael Chaar: Bryan and Sarah Baeumler have made a name for themselves appearing on countless HGTV shows including their most recent, Renovation Island, also known as Island Of Bryan, in Canada. After Bryan Baeumler dished out $10 million for a run-down resort in South Andros, things went awry when Covid-19 halted their plans. Despite the speed bump, Bryan and Sarah have managed to become quite successful, amassing a net worth of $20 million, however, when it comes to the richest HGTV star, it is none other than the Property Brothers, Jonathan, and Drew Scott that come out on top with their $200 million net worth!

Which HGTV Star Is The Richest?

HGTV shows have a lot going on BTS and there's a lot that goes into producing and filming them. The hosts have amassed such huge fanbases over the years as these stars feel like regular people.

When it comes to the richest HGTV stars, that would be Jonathan and Drew Scott with their $200 million net worth.

According to The List, the hosts of Property Brothers have more money than Mike Holmes, whose net worth is $30 million, and Chip and Joanna Gaines, who has $20 million in the bank.

Bryan and Sarah Baeumler have a combined $20 million net worth, according to Celebrity Net Worth, making them top contenders for richest HGTV star. While that's definitely a lot of money and they have done very well for themselves, the Scott brothers still come out on top with a much higher net worth.

Living The Island Life

For many people, living in a warm climate is a dream, and owning and operating their own resort sounds pretty fun, too. And that's exactly what this couple is trying to do... and it has meant reaching into their bank account, too.

According to The List, Sarah and Bryan went with their children to South Andros Island in 2007 and when they saw a hotel that was in bad shape, Bryan was excited about getting involved.

Bryan shared that there was definitely some stress involved with making such a big decision: "And as a father and a provider, all these fears — are my kids going to be safe, are we making a massive mistake? There is all that," he said.

Fans have followed along with Bryan and Sarah Baeumler as they bought a resort in the Bahamas and started renovating it for their TV show called Renovation Island. In Canada, the show is called Island of Bryan.

According to Distractify, Bryan took $10 million from his own bank account to work on the resort. Wow!

The website says that Bryan and Sarah are most likely getting paid handsomely for that series as Tarek El Moussa reportedly gets $10,000 for "appearance fees."

The source also mentioned that maybe HGTV is paying $50,000 for each episode and that would mean $650,000 for the first season of Renovation IslandCheat Sheet says they purchased the resort for $2 million and that they spent "over $10 million." Looks like they'll have to film a bit more to make up for their investment.

While the resort has been closed because of the Covid-19 pandemic, Cinemaholic.com says the beach villas are priced at almost $865 per night and the rooms are $385 per night. It sounds like the couple will do well once they can open again.
