Following their first encounter at the premiere of the movie Stakeout, Bruce and Demi Moore fell for each other and tied the knot in 1987. Willis and Moore had three daughters after getting married: Rumer in 1988, Scout in 1991, and Tallulah in 1994. In June 1998, the ex-couple made their separation official. In the years following their divorce, it is evident that Bruce and Demi have upheld their commitment to continuing to raise their children together. Despite Bruce's 2009 marriage to model Emma Hering, he and Demi continued to try to give Rumer and her siblings a sense of family.

“I still love Demi. We’re very close,” the Unbreakable actor shared about his relationship with his ex-wife in an interview with Rolling Stones. “We have three children whom we will continue to raise together, and we’re probably as close now as we ever were.”

When it was revealed that the ex-couple had spent four weeks in quarantine together due to the global coronavirus crisis, it turned many heads. Tallulah- Demi and Bruce’s youngest daughter, shared a picture of her sisters and parents wearing matching pajamas while assuring followers that they were "taking every precaution" to stay healthy.

"I think Bruce was fearful at the beginning that I was going to make our split difficult, and that I would express my anger and whatever baggage that I had from our marriage by obstructing his access to the kids -- that I'd turn to all of those ploys divorcing couples use as weapons," Moore wrote in her memoir. "But I didn't, and neither did he."

"It wasn’t easy at first, but we managed to move the heart of our relationship, the heart of what created our family, into something new that gave the girls a loving, supportive environment with both parents," she wrote. "We felt more connected than we did before the divorce."

“It’s a funny thing to say, but I’m very proud of our divorce,” she added.

Following the dissolution of their marriage in 2000, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis maintained their friendship, serving as a model for cooperative parenting. Not only Moore is friends with the Cosmic Sin star but also she also had great things to say about his new wife, Emma Heming Willis.

Bruce And Demi Worked Hard To Remain Good Co-Parents

The duo didn’t have to be separate for birthdays or vacations. Every family gathering was shared. The former couple also helped each other out in their subsequent relationships.

"I never had to split up vacations or split up birthdays," Rumer revealed what it was like to have her parents divorced, in an interview with Larry King.

"They always made an effort to do all the family events still together and made such an effort to still have our family be as one unit, as opposed to two separate things, which I think really made an impact."

Fifteen years after their split, the exes reunited to cheer on their daughter Rumer as she competed on season 20 of Dancing With the Stars.

"I wanted people here tonight who love and support me unconditionally, and I really felt that," Rumer said of her parents in the audience. "I couldn’t have asked for anything else."

In the celebration of the publication of Demi's candid memoir, Inside Out, in September 2019, Bruce and his daughters joined her. Bruce was happy to support his ex-wife's endeavors even though the book included some heartbreaking details about their marriage.
