When cast members feud on The Real Housewives, they often have a long history of friendship and good times that they want to get back to. The idea of throwing away all those vacations, dinner dates, and random moments is too sad to consider. But while The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars Kathy Hilton and Erika Jayne have been fighting for a long time, were they ever actually pals?

Kathy has fought with Kyle Richards for years, and her arguments with Erika have been making headlines as well. What is the real story behind the arguments between Erika Jayne and Kathy Hilton, and do they actually like one another?

Why Don't The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Stars Kathy Hilton And Erika Jayne Get Along?

It doesn't appear that Kathy Hilton and Erika Jayne have ever been friends. And they definitely don't seem to like each other. When Hilton joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she was already pals with co-star Crystal Kung Minkoff. It seemed that Hilton and Lisa Rinna had known each other for a long time as well. And while Erika Jayne and Lisa Rinna are good friends, it's a different story with Erika and Kathy.

Kathy Hilton even said that she wouldn't be a cast member in season 13 of RHOBH if Erika Jayne came back. While there are going to be cast members who bond more than others, it was a pretty big deal for Kathy to make this kind of statement. Housewives don't often comment on what they hope the next season's cast will look like.

Kathy explained to TMZ, “I had said that I would only be willing to come back if the cast [changed]. If it was completely the same, absolutely not. Because I feel they are two bullies that intimidate a lot of the other girls.”

Kathy was talking about Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne here. She said of her two co-stars, "Those two are desperate for a storyline and they’ll throw anybody under the bus."

In March 2023, Page Six interviewed Erika Jayne about Kathy Hilton. Erika talked about how she would be a season 13 cast member. She said to Page Six, “Well, I’m here and she’s not. She can come on in any time she wants!”

Kathy has been saying for a long time that she doesn't want to return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In October 2022, Vulture reported that Kathy said "absolutely not" about the possibility.

There don't appear to be any positive feelings between the former co-stars. They don't talk about wanting to get back to a better place. And they've definitely never said how nice it would be if they could get along.

What Did Kathy Hilton Say About Erika Jayne's Lifestyle?

Erika Jayne has been living a very public life for the past few years. In 2020, she officially filed for divorce from her lawyer husband Tom Girardi. Right away, Erika became involved in lawsuits, which soon became all that anyone talked about on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

While she was sued in 2020, Erika was found not guilty of fraud in 2020, according to The Los Angeles.

Erika's fellow RHOBH cast members had a lot to say about what was going on with Erika. And that includes Kathy Hilton.

According to OK! Magazine, Kathy said of Erika during an episode of RHOBH, "Isn't it interesting, nothing came out in the press about Erika walking around with the big $250,000 Cartier ring. Going around with the big crocodile bag and fur coat... They're not yours. They're not your belongings. You have no remorse at all."

Erika owning earrings that cost $750,000 also became a topic of conversation on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Some wondered why Erika was still wearing them since, according to CBS News, Tom Girardi and his colleagues were charged with embezzling settlement money that was supposed to go the families of the Lion Air Flight 610 plane crash victims.

Erika was constantly asking her co-stars to be there for her as she watched her entire life change. She moved out of the house that she lived in with Tom for decades, rented a different place, and realized that she no longer had any privacy. And while Erika was looking for empathy, Kathy said that she didn't like the way that Erika was living.

Considering Kathy's comments, it's easy to understand why she and Erika aren't friends. From Erika's perspective, she wants people to treat her with compassion and kindness. As she often said on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she had to read countless strangers saying negative things about her.

What Did Erika Jayne Say About Kathy Hilton In Aspen?

Erika Jayne and Kathy Hilton also fought because Erika said Kathy used a homophobic slur in Aspen. Erika talked about this during the season 12 reunion of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

According to E! News, Erika said, "I see Kathy coming from the dance floor very upset. I say, 'Kathy, what's wrong?" Erika says that Kathy said a terrible thing about the DJ in the club where they were spending time.

Kathy said that this was wrong and said, "Anyone who knows me knows I don't talk like that" and "Nobody else heard that." Kathy also said, "I will admit to what I do, but I will not be painted to be this monster."

Erika has said several times that Kathy did made this comment. According to Yahoo!, Erika said on her Instagram Stories in October 2022, "I was there. It happened. What the 'audience' chooses to believe is beyond my control. I will never back down from the truth of what happened that night at the club in Aspen,"

E! News reported that during the season 12 The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, Kyle Richards said that she didn't hear Kathy make the comment that Erika says she did. Kyle said, "I just want to be clear, I never heard that word said. I never heard that."

Andy Cohen mentioned that the Human Resources team at Bravo looked into what Erika said happened in Aspen. Andy said, "it came down to she said, she said. It was inconclusive," according to E! News.

If Kathy Hilton doesn't film any episodes of season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, it seems unlikely that she and Erika Jayne will ever speak again. They have fought too much and neither one seems like they want to be friends.
