Gisele Bündchen reportedly left the family estate in Tampa for a trip to Costa Rica because she and Tom Brady had an "epic argument" over his plan to "un-retire" from the NFL.

Gisele's primary role has always been that of the primary caregiver. And recently, it turned out that Tom was supposed to retire to devote more time to his family, but backtracked (and un-retired) before later deciding to take some time off.

That, of course, was after Gisele's very public comments about how she wanted to do more with her life than back her quarterback hubby.

Sources close to Tom Brady say that despite his "sadness" over the series of intense disputes with Gisele Bündchen, he is concentrating on being a "super dad" to their children.

They also say he's doing everything he can to repair his marriage. And yet, recent comments hint that there's more to the couple's story.

Tom Brady Opened Up About What's Going On In His Life

Reports have surfaced recently about a rift between Brady and his wife, the former supermodel Gisele Bündchen, which revolves around Brady's football career. According to reports, Bündchen is eager for her spouse to retire finally.

Yet Tom Brady's drive to continue being the GOAT in the NFL seemed to trump his wife's desires.

Brady hasn't talked about rumors of marital problems in public, but he has spoken about how hard it is to balance football and family in recent interviews.

According to NBC News, Brady recently noted in a podcast interview, "You can't stop your life even though sports are happening."

He went on, "I'm in my 23rd year of playing, and I also have a son who is a freshman in high school, and he plays football. My son, who is twelve, is at a crossroads in his development. My daughter is nine years old and experiencing Life. And my family is very important to me, and I have many other interests and ambitions that I am working hard to achieve in addition to my athletic potential."

Even before this, during an interview with Howard Stern in 2020, Tom discussed his marriage's influence on his career.

He said Gisele wasn't satisfied with his "contribution to the household." Her point was that I was not doing my "part for the family."

"I imagined I could spend the entire football season on the field while she took care of the home. She was dissatisfied with our marriage, so I decided to switch. She was of the view that 'Well, yeah, of course, this works for you. It all works for you. But it doesn't work for me'."

Despite the fact Gisele was not thrilled when Tom un-retired from the NFL after such a short time, things are not quite fine between the star couple. However, It has been reported that Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are working through things.

Recently, the matter of how things are going between both stars was going around all the media. And reporters highlighted that the supermodel is unhappy with the quarterback's return to the field.

Gisele Bündchen seemed to stop rumors that she and Tom Brady were having problems in their marriage by showing her support for him on social media before his first game of the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Although she was not there outside the Arlington, Texas stadium on game day, Bündchen took to Twitter to showcase her support for the band and the team as she tweeted, "Let's go, Tom Brady! Let's go, Bucs!" before the game even began.

As fans speculate about what is really going on with the pair's marriage, Gisele seems to be trying to minimize the appearance that she doesn't support Tom.

And while it's quite obvious that the couple has grown apart in some ways — namely that Gisele is tired of being Tom's right hand and wants to do her own things — the fact that their marriage has survived this long suggests they can get through anything.

After all, they started a relationship around the time Tom's then-recent ex Bridget Moynahan was pregnant with his first child.

They made it through the drama and became solid co-parents, so who's to say they won't get through some career issues within their marriage?
