In a clip from her tour documentary excuse me, i love you released on Netflix, Ari forces her choreographer Scott Nicholson to watch some of the darkest scenes in the 2019 film.

Ariana Grande Loves Ari Aster… But Loves Terrifying Her Friends More

While on a plane, Grande and choreographers Scott and Brian Nicholson are filmed as they watch the movie together. Scott seems to be absolutely terrified, as the subtitles confirm.

“Forcing Scott to watch horror movies he will never recover from” is among Ariana’s “favorite tour pastimes”.

“never knew how much I needed to see Ariana Grande make her friends watch MIDSOMMAR until now,” Netflix Film captioned the clip on Twitter.

After seeing the powerful, bleak intro of Midsommar, the trio focuses on the ceremony scenes. Then they are followed by the camera as they leave the plane. But this doesn’t mean it’s over for Scott.

Grande’s Netflix Documentary Was Released A Year After The Sweetener Tour Ended

Directed by Paul Dugdale, excuse me, i love you is a concert film following Grande and her crew on tour. It was released on December 21, 2020, one year after the end of Grande’s 2019 Sweetener World Tour.

In the clip posted on Netflix Film, Grande made Scott rewatch the movie as she explains William Harper Jackson’s character Josh knows what the ceremony will entail as “he’s done the research” for his grad thesis.

“Forcing Scott to watch the same scene again the next day,” the subtitles read.

Again, the audience witness poor Scott being horrified at the infamous scene where an old couple jump to their death during the ritual.

Grande is a total Ari Aster’s lover, as fans might recall. For her last birthday, she had a Midsommar-themed birthday party. She posted pictures on her socials where she wears a floral headpiece inspired by that Florence Pugh wears in the movie.
