Interviews can turn awkward very fast - heck, just ask David Spade, who thought his one-on-one alongside Guy Ritchie was a prank... but oh no, it was very much awkward and bizarre. The same goes for the likes of Naomi Campbell, who walked off an interview while shoving a cameraman down. Selena Gomez can relate to this, as her team cut the feed to an interview after Justin Bieber was brought up, despite the fact that she was there to promote a show.

Unfortunately, the great Arnold Schwarzenegger also falls under this category. His interview back in 2014 was supposed to be positive, talking about his success lectures. However, things would take a turn when the interviewers brought up failures from his personal life.

Let's delve into how it all went down and how the legend was able to silence the interviewers inappropriate question.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Has Lost His Cool During Interviews In The Past

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a man of principle. If he's attending an interview, he wants to discuss the topic at hand and not something else.

Arnold has a history of lashing out during interviews and even walking off. Another example took place back in 2016, once again in Australia, when an interviewer started asking Arnold on his thoughts on Donald Trump, completely going off-topic, which should've been about fitness.

"This is an interview that I only do about fitness and health, not about politics or my relationships," Arnold stated.

"The important thing is that I continue on with my work, and health and fitness, and that's what really counts for me," he said.

Arnold's publicist would also issue a statement alongside NY Daily News, stating that the interviewer had a different agenda, and went over her time limit.

"The journalist was allocated five minutes and we ran over time, so we cut the interview short," publicist Max Markson told Fairfax Media. "I think she's just trying to make a name for herself. She's new on the show. Her line of questioning was inappropriate."

"His focus coming here this weekend is he's on a fitness crusade. The Arnold classic is a fantastic event for Melbourne."

A couple of years prior, Arnold had a similar situation take place, though this time around, he handled the situation a little differently.

What Inappropriate Question Did Arnold Schwarzenegger Have To Answer?

Arnold was on an Australian speaking tour, discussing his career successes, along with other positive tips he had. The intent was positive, however, during his interview alongside an Aussie Morning Show, for whatever reason, the interviewers wanted to change the tone, discussing Arnold's troubled marriage to Maria Shriver.

- After being apart for a decade, Arnold and Maria officially ended their marriage in late December of 2021.

"You previously said you're hopeful for a reunion with Maria Shriver one day, do you still feel that way?"

Arnold handled the question with complete class stating that his lectures will be about his successes and not his personal and family life.

The interviewers would continue to poke, stating "are you afraid that those failures will take center stage?" However, Arnold wasn't biting, coming back with the perfect response.

"People are very much aware of the successes, and a perfect example is I was invited to Australia to talk about my successes, that just says it all."

How Did The Fans React To Arnold Schwarzenegger's Answer?

It has over 100K views on YouTube, with several comments. This begs the question, how did fans feel about the way Arnold handled the interview? A surprise for few, fans were all team Arnold, bashing the show for the question, along with praising 'The Terminator' for keeping his cool.

"This just goes to show that he cannot be baited by some random journalist. An elephant doesn't beef with ants. He's a legend."

"Many people underestimate the cognitive skill of Arnie. They're wrong. Arnie will not be successful if he is dumb. As a matter of fact his accomplishments speaks for himself that he is a genius. From the day that he enter the military service. He already knew his path to success and what he should do."

"There is a lot to be learned from the Terminator. People always want the NEGATIVE."

"Just Schwarzenegger's way of telling interviewers to "Stay out of my personal business & stay focused on business at hand!" while maintaining his cool!"

Props to Arnold as fans were clearly by his side, respecting how witty and cool he was about the entire ordeal.
