In 2011, the world went bananas for the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Now, with the next royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just DAYS AWAY, the world is going nuts. One person in particular who is literally nuts for this upcoming wedding, is Ohio-based artist Steve Casino.
Casino recently spent over 362 hours working to artistically create a miniature replica of the soon-to-be-televised British royal wedding. His medium? Almonds, cashews, hazelnuts ,and coconuts! Using these tasty protein-filled treats, he created the bride and groom, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, along with Royal Family members, Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince Charles, and Queen Elizabeth. He even created figurines of the Queen's pair of beloved Welsh Corgis to attend this nutty wedding ceremony.
The idea came from British nut milk brand "Plenish" who approached Casino to carry out this unique idea in honor of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
"When Plenish came to me asking to help them bring their idea to life, I was thrilled," Casino said. "The Royals are loved in the U.S. and I admire the brand's ethos, so it was a super rewarding project to work on, albeit challenging. The Queen and Prince Charles were by far the best characters I've made yet".
Nut milk such as Plenish's brand and other plant-based milk as a whole is making a huge splash not just in the U.K. or the U.S., but all over the world. It not only has protein and essential vitamins but a pleasant taste as well. What do you think about Plenish's idea to get attention for nut milk by commissioning this talented artist to re-create the British Royal Family by turning them into a "peanut gallery"?
Casino also created tiny hazelnut fans and royal helpers to assist in taking care of the nut Welsh Corgis, hanging the banners and all other general matters in the nut version of the royal wedding. Casino thought out all of the details and even had cashews framing the banner decorations. The tiny model wedding was further helped with elaborate backgrounds of Windsor Castle.
While we won't know for sure what Markle's wedding dress will look like until May 19th, Casino dressed her in a pretty, white sleeveless wedding dress with a long train being held by an almond bridesmaid. What a helpful nut!
How adorable would these tiny nutty creations be on top of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's lemon and elderflower wedding cake?
We can't think of anything else to say besides co-conut-gratulions!
