Aubrey Plaza Had To Wear A 'Maddie The Elf' Costume Around Donald Trump And His Family

David Letterman asked Plaza about a 2007 photo taken alongside Donald Trump. As she revealed, the gig had nothing to do with becoming an actress. Instead, she just took on the gig to make ends meet, though the pay really wasn't the greatest.

"That had nothing to do with me trying to be an actor or anything. That was just me trying to make money to eat. I found a job on Craigslist to play that character, which is actually a British children's character named Noddy the elf. I never read any of the books and don't know anything about the character, but I did dress up as Noddy the elf."

In terms of pay, it really wasn't all that worth it, as the actress revealed she made a grand total of $7 an hour for the gig.

Not only that, but the gig was that much more stressful given that she was urged to get a photo-op with Donald Trump, given his popularity.

After chasing him down for most of the night, Plaza in the mascot outfit was finally able to get a photo, but as Trump stated, "only one."

Letterman laughed at that part of the story, given Trump's thirst for fame, especially at the time. Nonetheless, it is remarkable to see how much Plaza has grownup professionally since that very moment.
