Avengers: Endgame Leak Prompts Directors To Write Note Pleading With Fans Not To Spoil The Movie

Avengers: Endgame's directors have written an open letter to fans pleading with them not to spoil the movie's ending for others.

One of the most anticipated movies in cinematic history is almost upon us. On April 26, Avengers: Endgame will hit cinema screens and we will finally discover the fate of Thanos and the Avengers he "killed" at the end of Infinity War. Are those heroes gone for good, or can the remaining Avengers formulate a plan to bring them back?

There are a number of reasons why we are desperate to see Endgame on the day of release. Most importantly, we need to know what happens and if anyone makes us wait even a minute longer then we have to then we may lose our minds. Secondly, the longer we wait after the movie's release, the bigger the chance of someone who has already seen it spoiling the ending for us.

Having the movie spoiled after April 26 would be bad enough, but the major plot points being given away already is absolutely unforgivable. That actually happened recently after footage of what looks like an early screening was leaked. Endgame's directors Anthony and Joe Russo have written an open letter in response to the leaks, pleading with fans not to ruin the movie for others after seeing it.

The letter begins "This is it. This is the end. The end of an unprecedented narrative mosaic spanning eleven years and eleven franchises." While the brothers don't directly address the leak, they do go on to write "when you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don't spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn't want it spoiled for you." They also include the line "Thanos demands your silence," which might well be our favorite part of the note.

Honestly, after giving the MCU more than ten years of our lives and watching over 20 movies, if someone were to spoil Endgame for us then they would be praying for a second Snap. With elements of the movie already being leaked, we may have to lock ourselves in a bunker for the next eight days and have no contact with anyone until we can see the movie. Woe betide anyone who dare throw any spoilers our way.
