Some movies have fans sitting on the edge of their seat. In fact, they wait for years for a series to come to a conclusion. That can sometimes be a bad thing. As a matter of fact, fans build up the movie in their mind. The only problem is it never meets the same level. Some fans love Avengers: Endgame and others dislike it. The MCU has been building to this moment for years. It all started with Iron Man in 2008 and ends here. Of course, The MCU will go on but it's not the same. Indeed, the film features the end for some and the beginning for others. In fact, it'll likely go down as one of the best Marvel films.

On the other hand, it's not without plot holes and things that make no sense. There are many plot holes that are hard to miss. However, most fans choose to ignore these moments. Regardless, these moments don't fit with the rest of the film. At the same time, these glaring plot holes are just confusing. Of course, if fans focus on these plot holes it'll take away from the movie. Some moments happen too easily and others are just out of place. To be fair, the movie has a lot of great moments. It features plot twists and changes that few saw coming. Regardless, it includes many errors that fans just ignore. It's time to take a closer look at the MCU. The MCU learned the hard way that time travel is very tricky. In fact, it creates many of the problems in the movie. For instance, 2104 Gamora travels to the future and helps stop her Thanos. In the end, she meets Peter Quil for the first time. However, she then disappears after Tony's snap. The film doesn't explain what she does next. Indeed, it's unclear if she turns to dust or simply leaves. The events in this movie mess up Gamora's timeline. At the same time, it's possible this is answered in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.3

24 Holding The Stones

Early in the MCU, they establish that no human could hold the Infinity Stones. Of course, in the movie just about everyone holds the stones. To be fair, it makes sense that Thanos could hold them. On the other hand, both Tony and Hulk are able to hold them as well. Hulk makes a little bit of sense but Tony's confusing. In fact, it appears that he easily takes the stones from Thanos. Despite the fact in the last movie, a whole bunch of them couldn't do it. Tony has no problem stealing the stones and snapping his fingers. Of course, it does destroy him.

The film goes back to several moments in the MCU. Notably, they return to the Battle of New York. In fact, this is an important moment in the first Avengers. Of course, going back in time is a bit tough. For instance, it creates problems with past films. Due to Tony's interference, 2012 Loki ends up with the Tesseract. However, the movie never explains what happens with Loki. In fact, it changes quite a bit that he ends up with it. Of course, this might all be to set up a potential Loki TV series.

There were many heroes that play a crucial role in their victory. Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor all did their part. Of course, it's hard to say which is the greatest. On the other hand, Ant-Man, Black Widow and Ronin play a big part too. Of course, everyone knows who the true hero really is. It's a rat. Indeed, had a rat not randomly stepped on a bunch of buttons, Ant-Man wouldn't return. Without Ant-Man and his information, there's no way The Avengers win. That rat is the true hero.

At one point, Thanos is able to get ahold of four stones. In fact, he's quite powerful once he does that. Of course, he needs the rest of the stones to accomplish his goal. It's still possible to defeat him but once he has all six it's over. Well, turns out that Thanos didn't need the stones. Indeed, he's just as powerful without the stones. One thing is for certain. Thanos doesn't care for Nebula. In fact, he pretty much tells her that. He often makes her compete with Gamora. Indeed, he didn't really trust her. He treats her like she's nobody and even harms her. However, in this movie, he decides to tell her his retirement plan. This is key to finding Thanos. It seems odd that he would share such information with her. He doesn't trust her and often dismisses her. As a matter of fact, it makes little sense for him to share that with her.

cbr.com

Avengers: Endgame seems to cover a lot of ground. Regardless, it still leaves a ton of questions. For example, it's unclear what happens to Ned. He's Spiderman's best friend and appears at the end. Ned is the same age so it's likely he turns to dust. When Peter returns, Ned claims that they were in some weird place. In fact, he claims they were all together. That means Peter and Ned should have run into each other at some point. On the other hand, if he's didn't turn to dust that means he didn't age. That's a bit odd since other characters all grew up.

15 Returning The Stones

comicbook.com

Finding the stones has been a major plot point in the entire MCU. In fact, it takes several films for the six stones to come together. Indeed, Thanos sends several people to get the stones. Of course, The Avengers also struggle to get all the stones. In the end, Captain America must return each stone to its timeline. However, the film skips over the returning of the stones. Instead, we see an old Steve Rogers. Returning some of the stones must have been tough. For instance, the soul stone requires a sacrifice. Did Rogers just give the stone back to his enemy Red Skull? That seems a bit too easy.

14 The Dust Settles

cnet.com

When Thanos snaps his fingers, several characters turn to dust. Most fans assume the characters were no longer alive. However, when Peter returns he claims they were all in a strange place. As a matter of fact, he claims that Dr. Strange told him it was time to return. It's unclear if the characters just turn to dust or were in a strange place. It would make a fun story to see what they went through. If they were together they might have tried to return. Of course, the movie just skips over that part.

13 Black Widow's End

yahoo.com

Black Widow's role in the movie is pretty simple. In fact, she sacrifices herself for the soul stone. Of course, this is a big moment in the movie. She's one of the longest-running characters in the series. To be fair, her role in the movie makes sense. However, there's one tiny issue. Prior to this film, Marvel announced a solo Black Widow movie. As a matter of fact, they even seem to drop some settle hints about her past. It seems that a solo movie might not happen after all. On the other hand, it's possible it might be a prequel series.

12 Confusing Time Travelling Rules

washingtonpost.com

The movie attempts to deal with time travel. Of course, that can be very tricky. However, the movie makes it worse by creating confusing time traveling rules. For example, Hulk and Nebula explain that movies like Back To The Future are all wrong. They claim if you go back in time and change something then you return to a different future. To be fair, those rules make sense. However, they then break those rules many times. In fact, they don't even take the time to give a clear answer.

11 Captain America's Confusing Timelines

polygon.com

At one point, Captain America goes back in time to return all the stones. Instead of returning to the future he stays behind. Indeed, he decides to start a life with Peggy. In the end, we meet an elderly Steve Rogers. To be fair, its a sweet moment realizing the choice he made. Of course, there's only one major problem. What happens to Steve Rogers from the original timeline? This would mean that he doesn't form the Avengers or battle Iron Man. These are key moments in the MCU. Perhaps, there are two Captain America's in the timeline but that only makes it more confusing.

10 Ignoring The Paradox

BGR.com

Clearly, the movie creates a number of paradoxes. In fact, it's unclear if many past events even still happen. At the same time, they break all the rules they establish. Characters meet their past selves but there seem to be no problems. In addition, The Avengers defeat past Thanos, which means he doesn't get all stones. That means he never snaps his fingers, which means none of the events in this movie happen. Luckily, they just ignore the paradox. As a matter of fact, it seems most fans have as well.

9 Hulk's Sudden Evolution

collider.com

The Hulk and Bruce Banner have always been two separate people. Of course, they're really the same person but two personalities. For the most part, Banner struggles to control Hulk. Hulk can't speak or really understand but knows how to smash. The last time we saw Banner, he couldn't bring Hulk out. However, this movie jumps forward in time. At this point, Banner's able to be Hulk but control him. It's a sudden evolution that makes little sense. To be fair, he's a great character but the change is a bit sudden. There could have been a film explaining how he's able to do this.

8 The Original Avengers

youtube.com

With a snap of the finger, a whole bunch of characters turns to dust. Of course, this is a major moment. Indeed, Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, and more disappear. However, there's one thing that's tough to overlook. It just happens that none of the original Avengers turn to dust. In fact, it seems they're the only lucky ones. To be fair, Ant-Man also survives but he's the only one. In addition, he would have turned to dust had he been able to. Luckily, these heroes didn't disappear.

7 Nebula Vs. Nebula

screenrant.com

At one point, Nebula travels back in time. She encounters herself and they even battle. To be fair, it's a pretty cool moment in the movie. As a matter of fact, she destroys herself. Of course, this creates a major plot hole. The future Nebula destroys her past self, which means she shouldn't exist anymore. Indeed, this causes a lot of confusion in the film. This would mean she doesn't turn on Thanos and thus a lot of the timeline doesn't happen.

6 Thor Destroys Thanos

time.com

Early in the film, Thanos is able to go into hiding. In fact, the team spends a good amount of time searching for him. Of course, they find him easily. This seems a bit odd since they had such a hard time defeating him before. Regardless, he's not the same after using the stones. In fact, The Avengers easily capture him. However, Thor wastes no times in destroying Thanos. Of course, past Thanos comes into the picture later. Still, Thor destroys Thanos without asking any questions. He could have waited and then ended him.
