Barack And Michelle Obama Might Team Up With Netflix

Barack and Michelle Obama are currently in talks to provide shows for Netflix.

Our favorite first family is back, this time they're moving to our TV screens! Former President Barack Obama is currently in negotiations with Netflix to produce a possible series of high-profile shows that will allow him to have a platform after his incredibly, and we mean incredibly, unfortunate departure from the White House.

This news comes from a few people who are familiar with the current discussions taking place between Obama and Netflix and claim there is a large possibility of this happening. Although the number of episodes and the format of the show have not yet been decided, Netflix would reportedly pay Obama, and wife Michelle, for exclusive content. The shows would only only available on the streaming service, which currently has 118 million subscribers.

It is said that Barack will not use this opportunity with Netflix to discuss President Trump or any conservative critics, but has allegedly talked about producing a show that highlights moving and inspirational stories.

Obama, who has 101 million Twitter followers and 55 million likes on his Facebook page, will be able to share the show with his fans and supporters. He will be able to do so in a unique way that will allow him to discuss matters in an unfiltered method of communication with the public.

“President and Mrs. Obama have always believed in the power of storytelling to inspire,” says Eric Schultz, who is a senior adviser to the former president. Schultz continued, “Throughout their lives, they have lifted up stories of people whose efforts to make a difference are quietly changing the world for the better. As they consider their future personal plans, they continue to explore new ways to help others tell and share their stories.”

This opportunity will allow Obama to discuss topics that dominated his presidency, from health care, voting rights, immigration, foreign policy to climate change. Some of these issues have seemingly been swept under the rug lately.

Whether this will come to fruition or not, we will certainly be tuning in if it does! Check in for more updates on what could be an amazing Netflix show.
