The Hadids are a super-famous family, and although Gigi has made more headlines lately with the birth of her daughter, Bella has had her share of internet fame, too.

But back when Bella Hadid earned herself a DUI, news outlets didn't even lead with the now-famous model's name. In fact, some fans only found out about the charges by watching old episodes of 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.'

Bella Hadid's DUI Made It Onto 'RHOBH'

For anyone who isn't already in the know, Bella and Gigi Hadid's mom Yolanda began appearing on 'RHOBH' in 2012. At the time, she was quite a bit more well-known than her up-and-coming model daughter, though the girls' childhoods were arguably pretty interesting before that, too.

And in 2014, Bella was only 17 and not yet globally famous. Back then, she had debuted in some fashion campaigns and commercials, but she wasn't on the covers of all the magazines yet.

So when she was pulled over one early morning in LA after she "nearly crashed" into a Sheriff's patrol car, there wasn't a ton of gossip about Bella.

Instead, publications pointed out that she was the daughter of a reality TV star, then reported her .14 BAC report and the fact that she was driving with a suspended license.

After that, of course, everything went hush-hush and little was heard about Bella's arrest and, fans assume, subsequent bailing-out by her millionaire family.

What Happened After Bella Hadid's DUI?

Viewers of 'RHOBH' weren't sure what to make of Bella's DUI. After all, there are few headlines today about Bella getting in trouble with the law. So Redditors started looking for tea on the topic.

One commenter pointed out that in California, DUIs generally lead to fines, alcohol education classes, and possibly community service. With her rich family to back her up, Bella probably didn't suffer too much post-DUI.

Besides, the punishment she received from her mom was probably plenty heavy to the then-teen.

How Was Bella Hadid's DUI Punished?

Yolanda went on to spill some tea herself, writing a letter to her daughter about what a mess her vehicle was at the time and, essentially, holding her accountable for her actions, say fans.

Then again, Yolanda also later appealed to the public's opinion of her daughter by suggesting Bella's later Lyme disease diagnosis had something to do with her DUI. The bottom line, however, is that if Bella really did blow a .14 breathalyzer, that meant she was clearly inebriated.

Of course, it all happened so long ago that not many fans care to dig up the details these days. Bella has a successful career as a model, has enjoyed at least one high-profile relationship (and love triangle?), and been brutally honest with fans about her mental health challenges.

Clearly, there's no time to dwell on the past.
