During tonight's episode and reunion, it was revealed that Chef Mat isn't too big a fan of Captain Sandy, so much that he referred to her as "the worst." Yikes! Although fans called for Mat Shea to be fired too, it seems as if Sandy is now wishing she had done that from the get to. So, what really happened between the two? Let's dive in!

That's A Wrap On Season 6 Of 'Below Deck Med'

Well, that's a wrap on season 6 folks! The cast and crew of Below Deck Med finished up their final charter, receiving a stellar $20,000 tip, leaving them with a combined total of $132,000 in tips from their summer in Sibenik, Croatia. While there were some heated moments, mainly having to do with second stew, Lexi Wilson, it was clear that this cast got on absolutely great.

Fans are declaring this season one of the best in regards to crew morale and competency, even going as far as calling Katie Flood one of the best chief stews in Below Deck history; sorry not sorry Hannah Ferrier! Despite their bond, it seems as if things weren't always so hot between Captain Sandy and Chef Mat, so much that Mat referred to the Captain as a horrible boss. Say what now?

Chef Mat Comes For Captain Sandy

As the season came to an end, the cast returned one last time for the Below Deck Med reunion. Andy Cohen hosted from the Watch What Happens Live! studio, and it's safe to say that things got heated really fast! Despite appearing to be close during their charters, Captain Sandy and Chef Mat came head-to-head.

Fans recall the stress Chef Mat put Sandy through this entire summer. From walking out not once, but twice, having a few off days, and of course all the way to his repulsive behavior towards Lexi (and vice versa), it's clear Chef Mat has no room to be calling anyone "the worst."

During tonight's reunion, Captain Sandy revealed that had she known what she knows now after watching the season, she would have totally let go of Mat. “I like reliability and dependability. Mathew’s a great guy but after watching the show, people who poke the bear … it’s a little hard,” Captain Sandy said. “I don’t see everything. So, when I watched the show, I was actually mortified.”

Well, this all came about after Chef Mat dragged Captain Sandy through the mud, calling her the worst boss, all while spilling some major tea that fans didn't get to see this season. In a since-deleted tweet, Mat wrote, “It had a lot to do with @CaptSandyYawn calling me a pussy and telling me to go f–k myself. #leadership." Yikes!

Mat Shea went on to claim that in his 15 years of working as a chef, he's never encountered a worse boss. Fans didn't waste any time before calling Mat out on his "laughable" comments. Considering the stress he put Captain Sandy and the rest of the cast through this season, Chef Mat is lucky he was taken back both times.

While viewers don't always agree with Captain Sandy's ways, it appears she hit the nail on the head when it came to her analysis of Mat post-season. With how Mat conducted himself during the charters all the way to the reunion, fans are calling him "the worst" in Below Deck history, and rightfully so!
