Spoiler Alert: Details regarding the August 30, 2021 episode of ‘Below Deck Med’ are discussed below! There’s a new girl in town! During tonight’s episode, Below Deck Med fans are finally introduced to the newest crew member, Delaney Evans. When it comes to the ongoing issues surrounding second stew Lexi Wilson, it was decided that some extra help was much needed.

Captain Sandy approached Chief Stew Katie Flood to let her in on the possibility of having a new crew member hop aboard the Lady Michelle. Although Katie was apprehensive at first, it was a no-brainer considering the mistakes that have been coming from the interior; Lexi’s mistakes that is!

Luckily for the cast, extra hands could not have come at a better time, however, it seems as if Delaney Evans signed up for a lot more than she thought. While fans know of her qualifications when it comes to yachting, there’s still lots about Evans that fans don’t know about. So, who is the newest stew? Let’s find out!

Who Is Delaney Evans?

Fans have been noting that this season’s cast of Below Deck Med is not only one of the funniest, but the most qualified! Although Katie has been impressing fans with her chief stew skills, her leadership skills seem to be lacking when it comes to her second stew, Lexi Wilson.

Following an array of onboard mistakes, Captain Sandy suggested bringing on a new stew, Delaney Evans. During tonight’s episode, Delaney finally makes her first appearance, and while she seemingly got on quite well with the rest of the cast, it seems as if she and Lexi won’t be seeing eye to eye.

Luckily for the newest cast mate, her experience when it comes to the yachting industry remains unparalleled! Delaney previously studied and graduated from Berkeley University in California, all while having received her captain's license for a 100-ton, which means she can easily lead a yacht with up to 8 or more guests!

Although she’s qualified to be in Captain Sandy’s shoes, it seems as if she’s starting at the bottom. Despite her license, Delaney was sent to do laundry, and while that’s easily a third stew job, she didn’t have any issue with it, proving that she can roll with the punches if she has to!

Prior to her time on Below Deck Med, Delaney Evans, who reigns from Alki Beach, Seattle where she worked a multitude of jobs, which include retail, modeling, and sailing (Evans can no add being a Bravo star to her resume!)

When it comes to her yachting experience, Delaney has sailed through the water of the Caribbean, Greece, and now, Sîbenik, Croatia!

How Old Is Delaney Evans?

Considering most of the cast is relatively younger, with the exception of Captain Sandy (no shade intended), it’s only fitting that Delaney also falls in the young crowd.

The stew recently turned 26 this past April, however, with her credentials and demeanor, it’s evident that she’s mature beyond her years! Delaneys very first time yachting was back in San Francisco, which is what initially sparked her love for the yachting world as a whole; and we don’t blame her!

Her first big break came about in Florida where she was officially hired full time on a yacht, ultimately leasing her to the Lady Michelle! Following her time on Below Deck Med, Delaney headed over to Hawaii, where she is currently securing her 200-ton captain license.

Although she isn’t here to replace anyone, fans are confused as to why they haven’t let go of Lexi Wilson yet. Viewers have also noticed Wilson loving having someone to boss around, and while Delaney might seem nice about it now, who knows how long she’ll be able to put up with Lexi’s wrath.
