With the rekindling of the pair's romantic relationship, fans have questioned if the actors will appear on-screen together again. But after all these years, are Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck even interested in the idea of making more movies together?

While we can understand the emotional connection Jennifer has to the film, since it's where the couple first met, we can't really understand the logic behind it. It's by far her and Ben's worst-performing movie. The movie was ripped apart by critics and fans alike, with it currently sitting at 6% on RottenTomatoes. "More stupefying follies may come, but it's impossible to imagine how they'll beat this one for staggering idiocy, fatuousness, or pretension," reads one critic's take on the film.

Jennifer continued to tease the possibility of the two working together in the future at the premiere of her latest movie, Shotgun Wedding. We love being together and working together, so, yeah, you never know."

How Many Movies Have Ben Affleck And Jennifer Lopez Made Together?

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have only made two movies together, despite being two of the most prominent actors in Hollywood. The first was Gigli, and the second, Jersey Girl, was released in 2004, shortly after their gut-wrenching breakup. JLo has a much smaller role in the movie, playing the mother of Ben Affleck's daughter, who dies tragically at the beginning of the film. Ben also starred in JLo's 2002 music video Jenny From The Block. The music video honestly displays more chemistry between the couple than either of the movies they filmed. Fans even thought the couple was recreating shots from the video during JLo's 52nd birthday celebrations in St. Tropez. The couple was spotted lounging on a yacht, where JLo sported a bikini that looked identical to the one she wore in the music video.

Speaking with People Magazine, JLo explained that while she did think it was funny, people thought they were recreating the scene. That's not what was going down. "We were just on the boat! There was no re-creation! I was lying down. It was a trip I like to take for my birthday, but no, we were not intentionally re-creating it. I didn't know there were paparazzi out in the middle of the ocean either," said Jennifer.

How Much Money Did Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's Movies Make?

The two movies Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez made together were pretty big box office flops. The first movie, Gigli, was a disaster. Not only did the movie cost $75 million to make, but in return, the film brought in a depressing $7 million at the box office. Ben has a more positive outlook now on the loss after being in the business for as long as he has. It's not like it's worse than all … there's a bunch of horrible movies and in terms of losing money, I've had five movies, at least, that have lost more money than Gigli has," said Ben when talking to Entertainment Weekly.

There's a good chance that if the two paired up to star in a movie together today, they'd smash at the box office. People are invested in the pairs love story. In the couple's defense, the film they did together in the past weren't necessarily set up to succeed. Particularly in Gigli's case, there wasn't much of a script for JLo and Ben to work with.

Jersey Girls did slightly better, bringing in $35 million during its box office run. Fans and critics have revisited the movie since its 2004 release, and people have given it much more love over time. The film was a stark contrast in tone from all the director Kevin Smith's previous work, but in time people have come to see the good parts of it.

We also wouldn't have the moniker Bennifer if it weren't for Jersey Girls, as Kevin is credited with giving the couple the infamous name. "Dubious honor! A dubious honor at best, man," said Kevin when the Daily Beast asked him how he felt about giving them the official title. "Most people out there, including Ben and Jen themselves, are like, 'Thanks, a–hole," said Kevin.

Despite how badly Gigli performed, Ben still sees the movie as one of the greatest gifts in his life. Not only did it lead him to his greatest love, but it also inspired him to step behind the camera and direct. "If the reaction to Gigli hadn't happened, I probably wouldn't have ultimately decided, 'I don't really have any other avenue but to direct movies,' which has turned out to be the real love of my professional life," said Ben in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
