Beyoncé's parents have been instrumental to her success. When she was just a child star, they brought her to the right venues, and even helped to build Destiny's Child. In fact, it is nostalgia for the days of Destiny's Child that keeps both of her parents still making comments about her career. Both Matthew and Tina Knowles have taken to the news media to offer their professional services for a Destiny's Child reunion. Although they no longer have an official role in her career, the Queen Bey's parents still seem to influence her decisions.

After the on-stage reunion of Destiny's Child at the 2018 Coachella Music Festival, fans have been clamoring for Beyoncé, Kelly, and Michelle to make it official. Is it possible to have a full-scale Destiny's Child reunion? In a recent interview with US Weekly Matthew Knowles gushed about the Coachella performance: “[Their performance] shows how much they practiced, that 10 years later they cannot miss a beat. It’s just remarkable." Beyoncé seems to be open to the idea after Coachella. Was it because of the influence of her parents?

Matthew Knowles has been very vocal that he is in favor of a Destiny's Child reunion. Beyoncé's father was the group's manager. Although he no longer has an official role in his daughter's solo career, he is not hesitant to share his opinions about his daugther's career with the media. US Weekly reports that Beyoncé's dad made it clear that he would like to resume his role as manager if the ladies decided to reunite.

Matthew Knowles clarified that Beyoncé, Kelly and Michelle must be free to make their own individual decisions about whether a reunion would benefit their families and solo ambitions. Nonetheless, he did not hesitate to offer his services as manager. He stated, "I’m sure in due time the ladies will decide if that’s what they want to do and if they do or do not as supportive as I could be as their manager." Beyoncé's father wanted to respect his daughter's ability to make her own career choice, however he couldn't help but make a public statement offering both his advice and his professional help.

According to Beyoncé's dad, "It hasn’t been done after Destiny’s Child. We really haven’t had a breakthrough group." Beyoncé's father clarifies that he does not play the role of manager in his daughter's solo career. He explained, "I love my role as father and grandfather. I still play the role as manager with Destiny’s Child, but Beyoncé will make the right decisions." Matthew is father first, but he seems to miss managing Destiny's Child.

Is Beyoncé's mother vying for a Destiny's Child reunion? Yes, and she would like to offer her own professional services as well. Tina Knowles designed costumes for Destiny's Child. She is still a designer, and features her work on Instagram. When asked about a reunion, Tina Knowles was not as vocal as her ex-husband about whether or not she was in favor. Nonetheless, she was quick to offer her expertise. In an interview with Yahoo, she stated, "Would I design for them? If they allow me. They’ve outgrown me over the years, so they might not want me to do it. I would love to do at least one outfit for them." Ms. Tina is not quite as nostalgic as her ex-husband for the days of Destiny's Child, but she still wants to get in on the action if there is a reunion.
