Danielle Bregoli knows what it's like to get 'scared straight.'
After her infamous "cash me outside" moment, the young baddie (now 'Bhad Bhabie') was sent by 'Dr. Phil' producers to his favourite teen rehabilitation facility: Turn-About Ranch in Utah.
That ranch is now at the center of a major lawsuit following charges laid against similar treatment facilities in recent months. Celebrities like Paris Hilton are speaking up about just how harmful 'scared straight' programming can be, and Bhad Bhabie just entered the chat.
She Says She Was There During a Murder
Danielle's allegations about Turn-About are shocking. In a rant posted to YouTube, follow-up clips on her IG Stories, and the long-captioned IG post above, she claims that the ranch mistreated kids like her.
Aside from not letting her shower or change her clothes (which she said led to athlete's foot and UTIs), Danielle alleges that the treatment facility actually had a murder onsite.
As reported by The Salt Lake Tribune, a member of Turn-About's staff was tragically killed by one of its teens in 2016. That's the same year Danielle was sent to live at Turn-About. She says the experience was traumatizing for all the kids on the ranch, but that none of them were allowed to access their own therapists or even write home to their parents for emotional support.
"When I was there, A MURDER HAPPENED," Danielle shouts in her YouTube video. She goes on to explain that it happened with some of the kids around, and that they were all made to sit in silence around a campfire. "The smell of fire now, like if I smell like burning wood, it literally makes me like...I get uncomfortable."
She Begs Parents Not To Send Kids There
In Danielle's IG Stories she adds to her allegations against the ranch. Manual labor is meant to be a main part of its treatment programming, but Danielle warns that none of it is actually the therapy the teens need.
"Some of the kids that come there they act out from being sexually abused, they act out from trauma in their life, maybe their parents are getting divorced and they started acting out, just stuff like that," she says in her Stories. "What these places do are they punish your child for acting out, they don't help them."
She Calls Out Dr. Phil By Name
Danielle isn't shy about saying exactly how she feels about the man who put her on that ranch in the first place - and she's not alone. The main lawsuit against Turn-About was filed by a different teenage girl who was sent there by Dr. Phil, and now IG hashtags exist specifically to flame him for funneling troubled kids into these problematic facilities.
We're SO glad Danielle made it out safely (and with her personality intact). As she puts it, "Y'all can put me in a program for six years and I'mma come out the same person I came in."
