To be fair, most of actress Bianca Lawson's recent projects have cast her in more age-appropriate roles. For example, she's currently playing a wife and mother in Oprah's 'Queen Sugar,' and she acted alongside Thandie Newton in 'Rogue,' where she played someone of a more mature age.

But for a long time, the now-42-year-old Lawson was portraying teenagers. In fact, for more than a decade, she played 17-year-olds on TV -- despite the fact that she was in her 30s at the time. Which has fans wondering, is Bianca Lawson 'too old' to keep portraying high schoolers, and is she going to stop now that she's hit 40?

Bianca Lawson Played A Teen Tons Of Times

In an ironic twist, Bianca Lawson was actually 14 when she started her role on 'Saved By the Bell: The New Class.' She played a high school student for about a year, then moved on to other '90s-era shows. But just like ageless Paul Rudd, she's stuck to less mature roles even as she got older.

Her appearances on 'Sister, Sister' were about age-appropriate; she was 16 back then. And when she was 18, she was another young character on 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer.' And at age 20-21, she appeared in 'Dawson's Creek.'

But after that, Lawson grew a bit too old for her roles. In 2009, at age 30, she portrayed a 23-year-old (who was dating a high schooler) on 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager.'

Then she played Emily Bennett on 'Vampire Diaries,' a role that spanned Lawson's 30th to 35th birthdays. And when she was between 31 and 33, Bianca portrayed another high schooler in 'Pretty Little Liars.'

Does Bianca Lawson Age?

The main question is really, does Bianca Lawson ever age? She looks amazing at 40, and no one's ever wondered about her characters' true ages. That proves how gorgeous and timeless she is.

And yet, as she's gotten older, Bianca has landed some more mature roles. She's been on 'Chicago P.D.,' 'Witches of East End,' and '2 Broke Girls.' And on 'Queen Sugar,' she actually looks closer to what the average 40-something-year-old does -- but only because she's playing someone with substance abuse issues.

Without that makeup and haggard look, Bianca's just as fresh and gorgeous as when she was actually 17. So it wouldn't be too surprising if Bianca was asked to portray another teenager sometime soon. In fact, maybe she ages backward, just like fans suspect Luann De Lesseps does.

Fans literally comment on Lawson's Instagram to ask her things like, "So when are you going to age?! Just wow." Of course, other commenters had some ideas about how Bianca stays looking young.

One pointed out that Bianca is, as yet, unmarried and doesn't have any kids. They suggest she also has a "healthy lifestyle," which could very well explain her youthful looks.
