When fans reflect on the cast of 'The Big Bang Theory' in terms of notoriety or net worth, stars like Kaley Cuoco and Jim Parsons immediately come to mind. And it's true that Jim Parsons made a veritable killing for his role as Sheldon, and Kaley's career took off even more after the show wrapped.

But even lesser-spotlighted cast members like Kunal Nayyar are worth far more than fans might think. In fact, Kunal and his wife Neha showed off their luxurious digs to Architectural Digest in 2017 and listed the pad for nearly four million bucks just a few years later.

The home is in Nichols Canyon, a veritable jungle in terms of Los Angeles real estate. In 2011, the couple moved into the home, and Kunal explained that Neha was the one who really had a vision for the property.

It's actually a Spanish hacienda from 1948, noted Architectural Digest, but what sold Neha on the home was that it was sort of triangular in the back. She explained that in India, the concept of gou-mukh means that homes with a triangular opening are "auspicious," and she was drawn to the property because of that sign.

But when Kunal and his new bride moved into the home, it was pretty sparse, at least at first. Their first purchase, they explained, were Murano lamps from Foundry. Neha didn't quote a precise price, only noting that she debated over the purchasing decision for some time before giving in. A quick search suggests that those lamps cost around $5,000 for a pair.

When it came to the design of the property, though, Kunal and Neha used their connections to find the right person. That is, a writer from 'Big Bang Theory' gave them a name, and they wound up hiring Richard Branson's design team.

Eastern influences were a priority while decorating, Kunal explained, and the home was therefore filled with equal parts foliage and Buddha statues. Of course, Nayyar also explained that he favorited more 'pop art' vibes, while Kapur preferred more neutral colors and styles.

Of the final product post-design overhaul, Kunal told Architectural Digest, "If we’re fortunate enough, until the day we die, we’re never going to sell this house... It’s going to be in our family for generations."

But a year after 'The Big Bang Theory' wrapped, Kunal and his wife listed their home for $3.895 million, noted PeopleIt was only on the market for 11 days before a buyer, represented by the 'Selling Sunset' team, the members of which are only getting richer, snagged it.

It was an odd twist, but clearly, Kunal and his wife have plenty of funds leftover despite the end of 'The Big Bang Theory.' Who knows what amazing property they'll redesign next!
