Big Brother is back to ring in a summer full of back-doors, slop, and showmances.

After having an All-Stars season due to the pandemic last summer, Big Brother 23 has fresh new faces to bless our screens this summer.

Let’s see if this new blood can handle the competition.

The season kicks off with the houseguests entering the BB house in groups of four, competing in a game where the winner advances to the Head Of Household competition. The four winners of those rounds thought they were competing against each other for the HOH however, Julie Chen-Moonves, dropped the first BB bombshell.

Julie Chen-Moonves, the longstanding host and face of BB, announced the first-ever team's twist on the Big Brother 23 premiere. After having predictable season after predictable season, the fans were shaken by this never-been-done-before news.

BB Fans Have Mixed Reviews

"Big Brother going with the teams," @zmunoz222 wrote. "That’s what I like to see!! #BB23 #bigbrother23."

"The @CBSBigBrother Gods heard our cry. So far I'm loving this dynamic and set up. Plus this Team picking is seemingly fair." @wint3rtymecold wrote. "Can't wait to see how this pans out. Love the fact they didn't get to strategize and clique first. #bigbrother23."

Four houseguests became the team captains and began to choose their teams from a giant slot machine. The captains pressed their red buttons and chose between two of the players who popped up on the big screen.

The "Jokers" team captain is Frenchie, and his team consists of Azah, Britini, and Derek F. Next up the "Aces" team captain is Whitney, and she chose Brent, Derek X, and Hannah. Christian is the team captain of the "Kings," along with Alyssa, Xavier, and Sarah, Lastly, the "Queens" captain is Beth and she is teamed up with Claire, Kyland, Tiffany, and Travis.

The teams all look promising as they enter the first-ever team HOH competition. The captain of the winning team became the new HOH and their whole team was safe from eviction.

Julie announces at the end of the episode that a quarter of a million dollars is being added to the grand prize.

The winner of BB 23 will win a total of $750k, making them the highest-earning winner in BB history.

Tune in Wednesdays, Thursdays & Sundays 8/7c only on CBS to watch this summer of games unfold!
