Big Time Rush is back.

Last night, the 2010's boy band hosted their first Instagram Live with fans. During the Live video, they played a snippet of a new song. Soon after, a fan page dedicated to the group reposted the clip on Twitter, and the band’s name started trending, as their fans got excited for their comeback from a seven-year hiatus.

Once the possibility of a song release began making waves on Twitter, fans of the band couldn’t help but feel ecstatic.

“WE ARE GETTING BIG TIME RUSH NEW MUSIC,” @alwaysx1d said in the tweet, with a series of screenshots from the Instagram Live video.

Along with a picture of Regina George from Mean Girls sobbing, @RobynEJeffrey wrote in a caption: “Me watching Big Time rush on Instagram Live saying they’re making new music.”

Big Time Rush is a four-member boy band that consists of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos Pena Jr. The group starred in their own Nickelodeon series also dubbed, Big Time Rush, beginning in 2009. The show went on for four seasons, before coming to an end in 2013.

Since the group debuted over a decade ago, they have released four chart-topping studio albums, BTR (2010), Elevate (2011), and 24/Seven (2013). After their last live show on the Live World Tour in 2104, the group took an indefinite hiatus.

A few weeks ago, prior to the song preview, the band announced a reunion tour. The group made the official announcement on the Big Time Rush Twitter page, and revealed they will perform in two upcoming shows. Tickets for the Big Time Rush Reunion Tour are available for purchase on Ticketmaster.

The promotional video officially announcing the tour ave fans an insight into what the band members have been up to.

"It's 2021," the voiceover said. "The people of the world are ready for a comeback of epic proportions."

The short clip, showed Kendall hiking in the woods, James working on a brand new car, Maslow, Carlos playing with his two kids, and Logan “working on that Ph.D.” by playing an immersive game of Operation.

The video ended with the narrator saying, "The show must go on. The world needs Big Time Rush."

All four seasons of the hit Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush are available to stream on Netflix.
