It's no exaggeration to say YouTube peaked in the 2010s. From the rise of independent content creators to how it's been monetized, the video-sharing platform has given us some of the most memorable moments of the decade. This is not to say that YouTube isn't as great as it was once, but there was just something about that period of time that made us feel so nostalgic.

Nonetheless, a lot of feuds between strong online personalities also took place during that period of time: PewDiePie cemented his status as the #1 YouTube account before Indian T-Series took over, the Paul brothers, consisting of Jake and Logan, were strolling on their way to online respect amid all the dramas, Shane Dawson became a big brand before his ultimate downfall, and more. To sum things up, we're reliving some of the most iconic feuds of that period of time.

8 Shane Dawson Vs. Trisha Paytas

Once upon a time, Shane Dawson and Trisha Paytas were close-knit friends. Their friendship lasted for over a decade until Dawson refused to defend his friend during her argument with fellow YouTuber Jeffree Star, although she'd publicly backed Dawson through thick and thin over the years. The drama ended recently as Paytas defended him again last year when he returned to YouTube after 15 months.

"A big f**k you to shane dawson. I’ve been hearing this s**t for years and refused to believe it. Trying to set me up - ur loser a** fiancé that no one cares about lied his a** off today," she took to Twitter at the time, adding, "U guys are both scum , I can’t believe u say s**t behind my back all these years - I NEVER!"

7 Jake Paul Vs. Logan Paul

Real or fake, the Jake Paul vs. Logan Paul beef was quite entertaining. It all started when Jake was dating his fellow Team 10 collective member Alissa Violet, but the pair had a fallout and separated after serious allegations of cheating. Jake accused her of sleeping with Logan in a now-deleted tweet, and he further took the issue in a disstrack called "It's Everyday Bro."

Featuring his Team 10 group, the song has become one of the most disliked videos on YouTube. Logan clapped back with "The Fall of Jake Paul," adding fuel to the fire by featuring Violet in the music video. The two have since reunited and are now consistently backing each other, whether it's in Jake's boxing or Logan's new hydrated drink company.

6 Alissa Violet Vs. Tessa Brooks

As the tension between Jake Paul and Alissa Violet arose, so did hers and Tessa Brooks. They used to be inseparable, until she took her ex-boyfriend Jake's side in a feud that turned them into enemies.

Alissa then publicly "disowned" the friendship by posting two pictures on Twitter. One of them was of her and Brooks standing in front of a wall, and the other was the same picture, but without Brooks in it as a perfect image manipulation product. However, it seems like they have reunited once again after two years, as revealed during Shane Dawson's docuseries about Jake Paul in October 2018.

5 PewDiePie Vs. T-Series

PewDiePie was once the most subscribed YouTube channel, beginning in August 2013. T-Series, an Indian record company of the same name, began closing the subscribers' count gap in late 2018, and that's how the "rivalry" began. Many fellow YouTubers have outpoured the Swedish with their support, noting that it's a must-win battle between independent creators like themselves against big corporations with a massive amount of money.

However, the "Subscribe to PewDiePie" antics took a worse turn beyond legal grounds, including acts of vandalism, hacking, and even terrorism. PewDie ended up calling his fans to stop, thus leaving T-Series with the advantage of becoming the first YouTube channel to hit 100 million subscribers.

4 KSI Vs. Logan Paul

British YouTuber KSI begun his boxing career way before the Pauls, beginning on February 3, 2018, when he fought fellow YouTuber, Joe Weller. Feeling satisfied with the win, KSI, whose real name Olajide "JJ" Olatunji, called out the brothers, saying, "If any YouTuber wants it, you can come get it. Jake Paul, Logan Paul, any of the Pauls, I don't care."

The two ended up agreeing on a two-fight contract, and the Sidemen founder told TMZ that he wanted to "squeeze out every bit of relevancy from him, and then move onto my bigger goal which is to go pro and be a professional fighter." The first fight ended up in a draw while the second belonged to KSI. Now, the two have rekindled their relationship, and even started their own beverage company called Prime.

3 James Charles Vs. Tati Westbrook

Feuds also happened within the beauty gurus community when James Charles and Tati Westbrook had bad blood in 2019. The OG denounced her former best friend in her tell-all "Bye Sister" video over product promotion. It all started when Charles promoted SugarBearHair, a hair vitamin product, over Westbrook's Halo Beauty brand. He publicly apologized for the decision, but the feud snowballed even worse. Tati Westbrook even further brought up Charles' "disgusting" behavior when he tried to "manipulate someone's sexuality" at her 2019 birthday party.

2 Shane Dawson Vs. Logan Paul

Both of the Paul brothers weren't very fond of Dawson's 2018 docuseries, The Mind of Jake Paul, and Logan Paul later called Dawson out for being "extremely misleading," especially for calling him a "sociopath," an outdated and deceitful term of one's antisocial personality disorder. Dawson did apologize, but things snowballed even bigger.

1 Jeffree Star Vs. Kat Von D

Another feud in the beauty world, Jeffree Star and Kat Von D had a fallout in 2016 after the latter alleged that the other struggled with "drug abuse, racism, and bullying." Kat further accused Star of not commissioning her friend for her star-shaped logo, which the latter denied. While they haven't exactly made amends in public, it seems like the two are already moving on from the drama.
