Bill Maher is filthy rich with a net worth of $140 million. He built that empire thanks to his brutal honesty, even if it means taking a stance that the people don't really agree with, like siding with Matt Damon for instance.

He also recently decided to take a shot at one of the most beloved actors in the world, Dwayne Johnson.

It should be noted that his rant was nothing personal, just based on how qualified DJ and others would be to take on a certain role of importance.

We'll take a look at what Maher had to say, along with his feeling about other celebs running for a prestigious position, one he feels like they need to stay away from.

Dwayne Johnson Is Considering Running For President

If Arnold can do it, why can't The Rock? Well, the people seem to agree... at least somewhat, as 46% of people admitted they'd support DJ if he did plan on running for President.

Alongside People, the major Hollywood star revealed he's honored even to be considered by the people, given his love for the country.

"I love our country to my core and I'm endlessly grateful for the opportunities I've had here, as a half-Black, half-Samoan kid being able to work my ass off knowing tenacity opens doors," he tells PEOPLE in the week's issue. "In a lot of ways, I'm indebted to our great country for it."

In the recent months, it seems as though Dwayne's tune has changed a little bit. He is successful at running his many businesses and making huge decisions, however, he would also reveal on Instagram, that this doesn't necessarily make him fit to run for office.

"I care about every American who bleeds red and that's all of them. There's delusion here—I may have some leadership qualities but that doesn't necessarily make me a great presidential candidate. That's where I am today."

Who really knows how it'll all play out, what we know for sure is that a certain someone strongly discourages DJ from taking action on this so-called goal.

Bill Maher Is Not A Fan Of Celebrities Like Dwayne Johnson Running For Office

Given his feelings pertaining to Donald Trump, it should come as no surprise that Maher doesn't believe in celebs making a run at office. That includes fan favorites like Dwayne Johnson. According to the host of 'Real Time', it wouldn't make sense.

"Someone must explain why celebrities running for office is a recurring nightmare we cannot seem to shake. The Rock, Caitlyn Jenner, Matthew McConaughey, Randy Quaid. They all have suggested lately that when it comes to running the country, they have what it takes. And they do, malignant narcissism."

Maher's words got even harsher, stating that fans just support celebs for their work in their own domains, not on a political platform.

"Let me put it bluntly to you and all of these show biz candidates," he said. "You're not good enough, you're not smart enough, and, dog on it, it completely doesn't matter that people like you. They like you now because you're an entertainer and thus largely uncontroversial. Governing is the opposite. If you think you can unite the country, you're delusional."

He isn't mixing his words and in truth, his dislike for this all started with Donald Trump.

Bill Maher Revealed Donald Trump Was A Warning As To Why Celebs Need To Stay Away

According to Maher, the job of President should go to someone who studied the craft for years... not a celeb like Donald Trump. Maher revealed that Trump's run as President was a stern warning as to what to expect when someone who is underqualified steps in and tries to lead.

"The last four years was a warning, not an inspiration," Maher said. "You were supposed to see that and think, 'I guess high-level government jobs should go to people who have trained for it and know what they're doing.'"

Maher revealed that change is finally taking place due to the fact that someone who is qualified is finally leading the way.

"Governing is a difficult, nuanced job with people's livelihoods at stake," he continued. "Perhaps you've noticed that things in America are a little different these last five months. That's because there are people in charge who spent their formative years not on a sound stage but studying the stuff you need to know to be effective on the world stage."

To sum up, Maher wants all celebs to stay away.
