Comedian and political commentator Bill Maher is never one to shy away from speaking his mind. Maher has been an outspoken critic of Donald Trump's presidency, but in his latest monologue on Real Time With Bill Maher, he directed a few jabs towards Joe Biden and the Democrat's presidential campaign as well.

Maher's monologue was a commentary on the current state of politics. He painted a picture of absurd political tactics that have succumbed to conspiracy theories and an unprecedented line of questioning from moderators and voters.

He did save the majority of his satire for Trump, but called both the presidential candidates "grandpas." Maher said he was disappointed that the second presidential debate got canceled because of Trump testing positive for the coronavirus and refusing to conduct the debate via Zoom.

Maher then began his monologue with, "So they had good grandpa and bad grandpa." He didn't indicate who was good or bad but added, "I had a flashback to the 70s when the only choice on TV was Barnaby Jones or Matlock."

Maher wasn't enthusiastic with the current choices for the presidency, saying, "Did you see that Trump was on NBC, Joe was ABC, I was on THC. It was the only way I could get through this."

He continued the attack on both campaigns saying, " And of course the Democrats, you know, they always f*** up the optics, they f*** up the optics completely, these morons. But Biden's questioners were above him, so he was always looking up, you know, and squinting, he looked like Clint Eastwood trying to decide to change a lightbulb."

Maher's commentary and criticism for Trump started by pointing out his retweets of conspiracy theories that claimed Osama Bin Laden was never killed and a body double was used.

He then talked about the conspiracy theory surrounding Biden's son, Hunter Biden, regarding emails found on his laptop.

"Apparently you know according to this, Hunter was trading on his name (Joe Biden) selling access to his father accepting money for nothing - what Don Jr. calls living the dream."

He also took shots at Trump's new Supreme Court Justice pick, Amy Coney Barret and the use of YMCA song to end his rallies. "He's ending his rallies by playing YMCA. I'm not kidding, a gay anthem about hooking up at the Y."

The current political climate may be grim, but Maher monologues have consistently provided humor and wit amidst unprecedented times.
