6 The 'Happier Than Ever' Singer Comes From An Acting Family

When it comes to acting, Billie has strong connections, and an equally strong lineage behind her. Her mother, Maggie Baird, is a musician, and also attended L.A.'s comedy theater The Groundlings, while her father, Patrick O'Connell, is a professional actor. If Billie ever wants to follow her parents' lead, or get a few pointers, she'd be in a good position to do so.

5 She Tried Acting As A Child But Didn't Enjoy It

Billie apparently tried her hand at acting as a kid, but didn't take too well to it - finding the audition process boring. She did, however, like recording background dialogue for films.

"I did 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid,' 'Ramona and Beezus,' 'X-Men,'" Eilish told Rolling Stone. "It was fun — a bunch of kids in a room yelling random things, and then we'd have a break and get snacks."

4 Billie Has Admitted That Acting Makes Her Nervous

Though Billie's recent SNL appearance was considered a great success, it seems that the singer is hard on herself when it comes to acting and presenting performances. In an interview with Howard Stern, she confessed to suffering terrible nerves beforehand, and feeling intimidated by the situation:

'Preparing for SNL was f**king nuts, dude. It was literally alien. I cried every single day of the week. No joke at all.' Despite loving acting, Billie said 'that's not my world' and felt petrified that people would 'think I suck... I went to the Green Room, cried, and came back. I was just scared. It's like, it's SNL… These amazingly talented actors are surrounding a table where, somehow, I'm the main course... I had a full-body reaction. I threw up on a plane coming here. I had crazy s**ts when I got here like you wouldn't believe… you know, ones where you have to get fully naked on the toilet.'

3 She's Said She Would Love To Act If The Project Suited Her

“If I fall in love with something, I would love to act in it,” Billie has said, stating that she would only be tempted if the offer was a good fit.

"It would only have to be the right thing because I’m not an actor and I’m not… It’s not my calling, but I’ve always loved acting. I loved acting as a kid. I would have to really, really feel a connection and have a moment of just, I don’t know, love for it.”

2 Billie Eilish Does Have An Eye For Directors, However, And Loves The Creative Process

Disussing her Disney+ project, Billie told The Hollywood Reporter about her vision for the documentary special, saying “It was, for me, a big multimedia thing because we knew that we wanted it to be interspersed with animation.

This clear concept meant Billie chose a director carefully. "We wanted somebody that knows how to make a beautiful film and somebody who also knows how to make a beautiful animated piece at the same time. They were just perfect choices, really. They really took the lead. I was like, ‘Guys, please do your thing. I don’t want to intervene. I trust you, and you’re going to make it look beautiful.’ Of course, they were always coming over to me and asking, ‘Does this feel good? What about this…’ I love that so much and appreciate it when people do that because it means a lot to me when I am asked for my input at all. It was great. Robert is one of the sweetest guys I’ve ever met in my life, for real.”

1 Billie Is Always Thinking About Her Next Move

Indicating a restless spirit, which may signal a future move into the acting world, Billie mentioned the lyric ‘Things I’m longing for, someday, I’ll be bored of' in a recent interview. The line 'Really gets to me every time I hear it', she said, 'I’ve always been a person who focuses on the things in the future to keep me going or to get excited for. Thinking about what’s going to be really fun, but when it’s over, or even when it’s going on or you’re used to it and it’s not as fun anymore, all of these things. That’s just how life goes. It keeps moving and things keep being exciting, then lame, then exciting, then lame. It’s so weird. Life is weird.” Could her next exciting move be into film and TV?
