Billie's known for her particular fashion style, which is mostly made of flashy, baggy clothes. For a person whose body has been under scrutiny since she was a teenager, this is logical. However, just a few months ago she decided to make a statement about body positivity.
She posted a video of herself removing her tank top and showing a black bikini. She then proceeded to talk about how the comments about someone's body can affect a person, and how it has affected her in the past. A clear message against body-shaming.
9 Climate Change Fighter
As a part of her commitment to the fight against climate change, last year Billie Eilish decided to give away concert tickets to fans who collaborate with the cause. They just had to sign up at Billie’s page on Global Citizen.
This was her statement: “I did not want you guys to have to buy tickets from scalpers, and I know you all still really want to come to the shows, so I teamed up with a great organization called Global Citizen to help come up with a way to earn tickets.” This way fans can educate themselves on climate change and how they can help.
8 She Stays True To Herself
Billie has always written songs with her brother Finneas, and that hasn't changed since they've risen to fame. Her creative process is very important to her, and she's not about to change that just because she's made it big.
Billie knows how important it is to have a good support system and she also knows that she doesn't have to take for granted the musical chemistry she shares with her brother. She's tried other writing methods but always preferred the duo. The fact that she's remained humble and loyal is admirable.
7 She's An Advocate For Mental Health
Billie has been very outspoken about her mental health issues for one specific reason: she wants to help anyone who listens get over theirs. She made a video for the mental health organization Seize The Awkward in which she shared her battle with depression and night terrors, and encouraged people to seek help.
“It doesn’t make you weak to ask for help. It doesn’t. It doesn’t make you weak to ask for a friend to go to a therapist. It shouldn’t make you feel weak to ask anyone for help."
6 She Stands Up For Herself
The comments on Billie's baggy clothes are getting old. She's always been tired of hearing them. She's responded to that in an Instagram post saying: “if only I dressed normal id be so much hotter yeah yeah come up with a better comment I'm tired of that one.”
But that's not all she's done. When she was 17, a magazine photoshopped a picture of her making her bold and shirtless, to which she didn't consent. Billie not only slammed the magazine online but got them to retract. That's courage.

Both Billie and Finneas have made it clear that they support the Black Lives Matter movement. The siblings actively argue with whoever says anything racist in their social media, and Finneas has even asked people to unfollow him. After the murder of George Floyd, Billie took to Instagram to express her opinion.

4 Her Relationship With Her Brother
Seeing Billie and Finneas' relationship is always heartwarming. The fact that they're so close they can write and perform together is a great example for siblings around the world. Obviously, not all brothers and sisters have to get along and that's perfectly okay, but it's good for young kids to see good relationships between siblings.
The best proof of this is the statement at the beginning of the video for the song Everything I Wanted: “finneas is my brother and my best friend. no matter the circumstance, we always have, and always will be there for each other.”
3 She Directed One Of Her Videos
Being only 17 years old, Billie made her directional debut with the music video for her song "Xanny". The video is simple and minimalistic, but powerful and jarring. It shows her sitting on a couch, singing calmly, and hands put out cigarettes on her. Once again, Billie is taking control of her art and taking her vision of her music to the screen.

Much like every woman in showbusiness, Billie Eilish has to put up with the double standards women are held against. While a lot of things, from clothing to certain comments, are acceptable for men, women are often criticized for doing the same things. Billie talked about this in an interview with Dazed, regarding comments about a picture of herself in a bathing suit.
“It was trending. There were comments like, ‘I don’t like her anymore because as soon as she turns 18 she’s a w**re.’ Like, dude. I can’t win. I can not win.”
