Speaking on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on February 23, Eilish described the experience of being constantly on camera as “very invasive but very fun”.

Billie Eilish ‘Kinda Loved’ Being Followed By A Camera For Her Documentary

Eilish told Colbert she sometimes had to ask the crew for some alone time.

“As human beings, we all tend to feel pretty irrelevant all the time,” Eilish told Colbert.

“And even though it was very invasive, and a lot at some point, and sometimes I just was like, ‘You gotta go,’ it was fun,” she continued.

The singer also added that she “kinda loved” the experience.

“It was fun to have have people there that are literally just there to watch you live your life, because there’s nothing like that. There’s nothing in life that is like that. I kinda loved it, to be honest with you,” she added.

Eilish described filming for the documentary as “a weird way to live” but said the crew was respectful.

“If I was like, ‘Okay I can’t do this right now,’ they would just leave which was great, and that’s so needed,” Eilish added.

The documentary also sees Eilish being with her family, as a clip of her in bed with her mom as the singer finds out she’s received multiple Grammy nominations proves.

Billie Eilish On Being Authentic On Camera

Eilish was also concerned about trying to be her authentic self while being filmed.

“It’s pretty much me,” she said.

She also wanted to make sure her fans understand that the documentary, albeit authentic, is also a part of her life.

“I think that it’s really important to know though, as an audience member of a doc, this doc, and every other doc… be very conscious of the fact that it’s not everything,” she said.

“You’re seeing a sliver of my life at that time. There’s a ton that isn’t in there,” she added.

Eilish then said it was hard for the to watch the documentary because she was “super annoying” at the time of filming. The documentary was filmed across three years in the life of the No Time To Die singer.

"I wouldn’t let anybody watch it until I’d seen it,” Eilish said.

“I was very worried,” she said.

“There was one point when I stopped it, screamed, got up, ran around the house, came back, pulled my pants down, ran around the house again. Oh my God! It was a lot.”
