On June 23rd, Blink-182's Mark Hoppus announced that he has cancer and is going through treatment. Fans, bandmates, and his loved ones sent their utmost support to the singer and guitarist of the iconic pop-punk band. In the span of days, Hoppus gave fans on social media his updates on his wellbeing. He had better or worse days, but he is still fighting regardless.

Unfortunately, Hoppus has revealed that he is now going through stage four cancer, medically known as diffuse large B-cell lymphoma Stage 4-A. This has fans, friends, family, and bandmates worried since stage four is one of the most deadliest in the cancer's progression. From Instagram to Twitter, fans gathered to send positive messages to the band through this difficult time.

As soon as fans found out about this heartbreaking announcement, they sent outpouring love to the Blink-182 member, telling him that he will beat it.

Hoppus took the news to his Twitch stream, in which an archived link will be provided here. The YouTube comments were very heartbreaking, but also had some uplifting ones. For the latter, one user wrote, "Mark has got this, he’s got cancer beating genes from his mom," which also got a heart from the YouTube user who uploaded the video.

Some are rightfully worried and pessimistic, as another said, "He says, 'if he beats this cancer.' The mortality in that sentence is just so final. I see kids in the hospital where I work that didn’t even get to do all the things regular people do because of cancer. Cancer is just f***ing hell. Be strong dude."

On Twitter, one sad fan wrote, "just found out about mark hoppus having cancer and quite literally sobbed. so many thoughts and prayers to him and his doctors."

Despite things looking bleak so far, Hoppus still has a chance to survive, and there are many other survivors who beat cancer and were able to live healthy for a long time. This battle will be long, frustrating, and difficult one, but the fans are sending their thoughts and love to the bandmate. We also hope that he will be able to be cancer free as soon as possible.
