It turns out that Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's wife Alicia knew each other, and Bobby Brown gave his daughter her name because of his 22-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina's tragic death.
According to Us Weekly, TMZ had the birth certificate which said that the baby girl was born July 9th, 2015, and was named Bodhi Jameson Rein Brown.
Us Weekly reported that the English translation of"Bodhi," a Buddhist term, is "awakened" or "enlightenment." After losing his daughter Bobbi Kristina in July 2015, Bobby Brown chose this name.

According to E! News, Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away in January 2015 after she was "found unresponsive." There was a combination of substances in her body, and after being unconscious, she died in July.
This was a terrible time for the family and Bobby Brown shared that he regrets not noticing what was going on with his daughter. According to Entertainment Weekly, he said, "The three [or] four months before her passing, we had become closer and closer. I know she had a plane ticket and everything ready to come stay with me. It was just a matter of two days before she would've been on a flight. Two days before this all happened. If I could just get those two days back, she'd still be here, because I would have found out what was going on to do something about it."
In July 2019, Bobby Brown shared how much he missed his daughter, who had passed away four years earlier. USA Today reported that he wrote on his Instagram account, "Every day I hold you close to my heart. I think about so many of the things you used to do, from a little girl to a beautiful young lady. I just smile! It reminds me of how much I miss my little girl more and more every day."
