There are no secrets when it comes to how much Brad Pitt is worth. At last count, his worth figured in the $300M range, but he continues acting and producing -- and padding his pockets even more.

But Brad is also a pretty altruistic guy, meaning that he doesn't just sit on his cash or buy tons of nice things. And because he's sitting so comfortably in life, he's also happy to take the occasional for-fun project for less than his standard rate.

Did Brad Pitt Really Earn $1,000 For A Role?

First off, it's true that Brad Pitt did accept a role for around $1,000. In fact, he likely earned just under $1K based on the fee schedule he accepted. Basically, instead of charging his super-high actor rate, based on his level of fame and his expertise, Pitt agreed to the minimum wage for actors.

Yep, there's a minimum wage for actors -- but stars like Brad don't often need that bit of negotiation in their back pockets. After all, Brad can make millions per movie -- he doesn't need a base rate to start haggling over; either studios take him or leave him.

But there was one opportunity that Brad deemed too good to pass up -- and he was willing to work "for scale" to get on the credits list.

Brad Pitt's Cameo In 'Deadpool 2' Only Paid $1K

Fans were thrilled to see Brad Pitt in 'Deadpool 2,' even though his role was more of a quip than an authentic piece of acting. And yet, the amount of effort that went into the scene was pretty epic.

But how did the studio nab Pitt for a job that paid less than he's earned in decades? The production team said Brad didn't hesitate when they asked him to consider the gig. When the pay rate -- a standard based on SAG-AFTRA rules -- was discussed, it was NBD.

To be fair, Brad did spend around 30 minutes on set for that low fee. Efforts were made to keep his work on the movie under wraps though; he had to sneak in and out of the set so that rumors didn't spread about what project he might be working on.

That meant his appearance was ultimately a surprise to fans, and it was apparently worth the cash. And for Ryan Reynolds, it was worth his moment of humility...

Brad Required A Certain Service On Set

While Brad was a good sport about accepting the minimum going rate for his time on 'Deadpool 2,' he did have one kind of hilarious expectation for his half-hour gig. Brad asked for a very specific coffee order -- and Ryan Reynolds had to deliver it to him.

What a way to sum up just how bizarre things were -- on set and off -- in 'Deadpool 2.'
