We really cannot compare any other actor to Brendan Fraser. The talented star is receiving high praise these days for his role in The Whale. Scrubs Had More Than A Few Memorable Guest-Stars

Created by Bill Lawrence, Scrubs will always go down as one of the more underrated sitcoms of the 2000s, running on NBC and later ABC from 2001 up until 2010. It went for nine seasons, airing 182 episodes. Throughout its journey, there were several gust cameos, some that are completely forgotten about today.

Among the list of most impressive includes Matthew Perry, who really was and still is, sitcom royalty given his legacy on Friends. Rarely did any of the main six appear on other sitcoms but clearly, Perry was impressed by the cast of Scrubs. Other notable names also include Ryan Reynolds, Collin Farrell, Tara Reid and Michael J. Fox.

Despite all the impressive cameos, the likes of Collider and Paste Magazine are still calling Brendan Fraser's role as Ben on the sitcom, the very best guest-star arc in the show's history.

Although Fraser nailed the role, the way he agreed to the sitcom is quite memorable.

Brendan Fraser Agreed To Do Scrubs After A Cheeky Gesture From The Show's Creator

The connection between Brendan Fraser and Scrubs all took place because of the actor's wife and her close relationship with those on the sitcom.

Brendan Fraser recalled the process of being on the show when speaking alongside Fake Doctors, Real Friends with Zach and Donald, Scrubs, the podcast.

At the time, Fraser was feeling fatigued and jet-lagged. Among his wishes was to start up the gym again. Hilariously, the creator of the show Bill Lawrence got word of this, and sent out the Scrubs script to Fraser, along with a pair of gym shorts.

Fraser recalls the process, making mention that he was completely sold at that point.

"I mentioned something about feeling a little tired or jet-lagged and that I needed to get back to the gym...And when he sent the script over he sent a bunch of gym shorts. I mean, like, nice ones, too! When one man sends another man gym shorts, there is no other love."

Fraser got the role as Ben on the series and although his cameo only lasted a few episodes, it turned out to be memorable for all the right reasons, especially among the fanbase.

Brendan Fraser's Short-Time On Scrubs Is Looked Back With Spectacular Reviews

Ben Sullivan took part in three episodes during 2002 and 2004. Among the episodes included My Occurrence, My Hero and My Screwup.

Although Ben's final moments on the show were extremely emotional, Paste Magazine had nothing but praise for the actor and his involvement on the sitcom.

"This shocking end is so perfectly done that the realization of Ben’s death is unbelievably painful and jarring. Appearing in just three of the series’ 182 episodes, Fraser is truly unforgettable here. Charismatic and endearing, his death is the catalyst for so much growth in Dr. Cox, J.D., and even Jordan."

She continues, "His goofy schticks and ability to instantly soften the harsh Dr. Cox make him one of Scrubs most memorable characters. Even now, having watched his tragic arc countless times, I find myself choking up at the emotional blindside," Kristen Reid wrote.

Later down the road, Fraser would make a big return to TV taking on the role of Cliff Steele in Doom Patrol. Nowadays, he's receiving some major praise and love from the fans for his role as Charlie in The Whale.

His schedule remains packed at the moment, just finishing up Brothers, while in the post-production phase for his roles in Killer of the Flower Moon and Behind the Curtain of Night.
