A longtime friend of Britney Spears’ mother Lynne has spoken up in the woman’s defense following the singer’s testimony in her conservatorship case.

“I’m so thankful that Britney was finally able to speak for herself and be heard,” Joy Boudreaux Moore wrote in a lengthy Facebook post.

“I’ve prayed for her liberation, and for her release for all oppression,” she continued.

Lynne Spears’ Best Friend Talks Her Role In Britney’s Conservatorship

Moore is a longtime friend of Spears’ mother Lynne and has also weighed in on Lynne’s role in the conservatorship.

She alleged to have known the family for decades and having witnessed Britney’s path to fame and her struggles.

“Lynne wouldn’t want me to be defensive of her right now, she’d eat me to only be supportive of deliverance for her daughter,” Moore wrote.

She then described Lynne Spears as “a devoted mama and a devoted grandma” to Spears’ two children from her marriage to Kevin Federline.

"She’s done everything in her power, before the conservatorship and during it, to battle for her daughter,” Moore also wrote.

She made it clear that the singer’s mother is “NOT on Britney’s payroll” and alleged that Lynne is playing a key role in freeing her daughter from the conservatorship.

“It was Lynne that stood with Britney two years ago to initiation the court proceedings asking for help and change,” Moore claimed.

“It’s also been Lynne’s attorney, the ONLY one NOT being paid by Britney’s money, that’s backed Britney 100% in court,” she continued.

These claims seem to be partly substantiated by a source telling People that Lynne has “lot of concerns” with the conservatorship.

"She feels Jamie [Spears, Britney’s father and conservator] has not been transparent with her and is helping Britney as much as she can,” the source alleged.

Britney Spears Details Horrifying Abuse In Her Testimony

Britney’s father Jamie took control over her fortune and persona over concerns for her mental health in 2008.

After years of silence and cryptic Instagram posts, the singer addressed the court on her own case.

In her June 23 testimony, Britney Spears detailed being subjected to psychological abuse and violation of privacy under her conservatorship. She claimed she was forced to perform against her will and that she is prevented from going to the doctor to have her birth control device removed.

Judge Brenda Penny denied the pop star’s request to have her father removed as conservator, but the battle for Britney is far from being over.

In February, Judge Penny allowed a wealth-management company, Bessemer Trust, to come in as a co-conservator for the financial arm of Spears' arrangement. Jamie Spears remains the main conservator for all other aspects of Spears' conservatorship.

The next hearing is set for July 14. Spears has filed documents to terminate her conservatorship, an action she didn’t know she was allowed to take.
