The #FreeBritney movement came to a stunning and happy conclusion last week when it was announced that Britney Spears' conservatorship, at long last, was over. The pop singer has documented many phases of her conservatorship's legal proceedings since the news first broke that she was in these abusive and controlling circumstances. As the #FreeBritney movement gained steam, she opened up more and more, with the proceedings coming to a head this summer and exploding onto front page news when her recorded statement from court was made public.

Finally, Britney's dad Jamie will no longer control her finances, her access to healthcare, and her daily comings and goings. At 39 years old, Britney was under the conservatorship for 14 years, having worked during that time and made millions but having access to none of it under the terms of the harsh and extensive legal agreement. Now that she's free, Britney Spears has gushed on Instagram about her gratitude the #FreeBritney movement and her fans for their role in her freedom. She thanked her fans for calling enough public attention to her case and getting it pushed through to the end. The whole situation has really put her story in a different light and made many reflect on the way she was treated by the media at the height of her fame, and we're happy to have a second chance to celebrate the pop star the right way. In honor of Britney and the new life she can finally begin, here's everything she's looking forward to now that her conservatorship is over.

7 Driving Her Car Again

Though Britney Spears owns a Mercedes Benz as well as several other vehicles, she hasn't had the luxury of being able to hop in the car to do an errand or take a day trip in the years that she's been under her dad's thumb in this abusive conservatorship. She explained in an Instagram post that it is the simple things she is most grateful for, including having the keys to her own car and being able to drive herself around.

6 Marrying Her Fiancé Sam Asghari

Britney Spears stated in her court hearing this past June that she wanted to get married and have children, but was not allowed to during the conservatorship. "I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told right now, in the conservatorship, I'm not able to get married or have a baby." Her now-fiancé Sam Asghari proposed last month and Britney said yes.

5 Creating A New Life Without Her Family

Britney Spears will be moving on into a new life without her parents, Jamie and Lynn, and without her sister Jamie Lynn, all of whom she says played a role in the abuse she endured. In an Instagram post, she said her family "should all be in jail" for their roles in the conservatorship. "Honestly it still blows my mind every day I wake up how my family and the conservatorship were able to do what they did to me … it was demoralizing and degrading !!!!" With her fiancé and kids in mind, she's ready to move forward without her family in the picture.

4 She Has Her Own Bank Card Again

It's hard to imagine being an adult without being able to handle your own cash and credit cards, but this was a reality for Britney Spears during the years of her restrictive conservatorship. Now that she's able to have her own cash and bank card again, she said it's been so nice to buy candles and do all the other little things that you might take for granted when you don't have access to or control of your own money.

3 She Wants To Have Another Baby

Britney Spears has revealed on Instagram several times that she wants to try to have another baby with her fiancé Sam Asghari. "I have an [IUD] inside of myself right now so I don't get pregnant," she said. "I wanted to take the [IUD] out, so I can start trying to have a baby." She would particularly like to have a baby girl, having already had two sons, Preston and Jayden. On one photo she posted, seemingly a stock photo of a baby's feet next to a grown up's feet, she wrote the caption: "I'm thinking about having another baby !!! I wonder if this one is a girl ... she's on her toes reaching for something … that's for sure 🐣🙊💋💅🏼 !!!!⁣"

2 She's Been Teasing An Interview With Oprah

Britney Spears has used her platform on Instagram to tease an interview with Oprah several times in the last few weeks, and fans are waiting with bated breath for the big event. It's a miracle Britney would even want to be interviewed again, given how poorly she was treated in previous interviews, especially her infamous one with Diane Sawyer in which the Primetime host skewered her for "what [she] did" to Justin Timberlake and repeatedly insinuated that she was a mess and a bad mother. "I might as well do a hint of my thoughts on the gram before I go and set things square on @Oprah," she wrote on Instagram.

1 She Wants To Be An Ally For Others

In a video detailing some of her post-conservatorship plans, Britney Spears was clear that she wants to use her experience to help advocate for others under similarly manipulative and controlling agreements. "I'm here to be an advocate for people with real disabilities and real illnesses," she said in her Instagram video. "I'm a very strong woman, so I can only imagine what the system has done to those people. So hopefully my story will make an impact and make some changes in the corrupt system."
