Britney Spears has just shared which iconic designer is working on her wedding dress — and it makes a lot of sense.
The singer is engaged to actor and personal trainer Sam Asghari. The couple shared the news of a long-overdue engagement, as Britney herself put it, earlier this year.
On November 10, Spears took to Instagram to share pictures and a video of her in a dreamy pink princess gown. But before her nearly 36 million followers could think this was THE dress, she clarified it wasn't and added that someone very famous is currently making it.
Britney Spears Shares Details About Her Wedding Dress
Spears said that Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace is working on her wedding dress "as we speak", and it sure means it will be a sight to behold.
"No … this is not my wedding dress [dress emoji] bahahah !!!! Donatella Versace is making my dress as we speak [hush emoji] …. Have a good night folks," Spears wrote in the caption.
In another Instagram post published, Spears opened up on being close with Versace and that she was her guest in Italy years prior.
"My favorite business trip was probably a trip to Italy," Spears shared in a video published on Instagram in June, explaining that Versace had flown her there for a stay in the fashion designer's "beautiful villa."
Britney On Her Engagement To Sam Asghari
In September this year, Spears and Asghari announced their engagement in a snap posted on his Instagram.
On her part, the singer posted a gravity-defying, shirtless photo of the 27-year-old personal trainer, recounting how happy the engagement had made her.
“Words can’t even say how shocked I am…” Spears shared in her caption, adding, “geez although the asshole was way overdue!!!”
The singer then shared that the proposal from Sam “was definitely worth the wait” and expressed her excitement over being “blessed”.
Yes world … that beautiful f***ing man in that picture is MINE!!! I’m so blessed it’s insane!!!!” wrote Spears.
Britney and Sam first met on the set of the singer’s music video for Slumber Party, and have been inseparable ever since. He actually featured as her love interest in the music video, which is fitting because they began dating soon after.
The pair have lived in a controlled environment for years. According to rumors, they're eager to purchase their own home together, and plan the wedding of their dreams, and fans are just as excited to watch this all unfold after years of struggle and suffering at the hands of Spears' abusive conservatorship.
Details of Britney's forced IUD came to light during recent court proceedings in June, during which time she made it clear to the court, and to the world, that she and Asghari are ready to start a family. She has pleaded for the right to have another child, and expressed her desire to have her IUD removed.
