Britney Spears fans are giving her boyfriend Sam Asghari the side-eye after he made a passionate attack on the pop icon's father.

In a furious message, Asghari, 27, called Jamie Spears a "total d**k."

In a post he shared to his Instagram stories, he appeared to accuse Britney's dad of trying to control the couple's relationship.

"Now it's important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way," Asghari began his post.

"In my opinion Jamie is a total d**k. I won't be going into details because I've always respected our privacy but at the same time I didn't come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom."

The Iranian fitness model added an animated "mic drop" emoji at the end of his rant.

On Monday, Asghari released a statement as he spoke in support of his girlfriend, amid continuing outrage surrounding a Hulu doc about the "...Baby...One More Time," singer.

"I have always wanted nothing but the best for my better half, and will continue to support her following her dreams and creating the future she wants and deserves," Brit's other half told People in a statement.

"I am thankful for all of the love and support she is receiving from her fans all over the world," Asghari said, "and I am looking forward to a normal, amazing future together."

Asghari first met Spears in 2016 when they worked together on her video, Slumber Party, and they began dating soon thereafter.

An unauthorized documentary titled The New York Times Presents Framing Britney Spears, examines the 39-year-old Grammy winner's ongoing legal struggle over her conservatorship.

Her father Jamie, 68, has been Britney's conservator since 2008, when he took control of her business affairs.

The former pop princess has been fighting to have control over her own finances and refuses to perform again until her father is removed.

However some fans are questioning Asghari's motives and wondering why he is only speaking out now.

"I don’t trust him at all. He’s had YEARS to speak up or do something and he hadn’t until now," one fan wrote online.

"was just wondering... seeing how controlled Britney's life is, what did he have to do to become her boyfriend? I mean, being 'Britney's boyfriend' means knowing a lot of sh*t. He must be complicit in some way," a second added.

"Let's hope he has Britney's best interests at heart. She's had nothing but people using her from day one," a third chimed in.
