Britney Spears changed up her usual Instagram posts by sharing a ethereal shot of herself by a sunny window.

The Grammy-award winning pop star, 39, was seen with her hair down over her shoulders as she stared into the camera. One side of the frame was completely awash in sunlight, causing a sunburst affect.

The mom-of two wore her go-to frilly white floral lace top that featured an open panel at the chest.

In the caption she observed, "Looks like the light of God coming in' following that with a string of emojis including a sun and a variety of faces."

Spears has the habit of posting endless versions of the same unsmiling selfie.

Often she will change the filter slightly to justify her posting the same picture three or more times.

Her hair extensions are normally visible and she often rocks a copious amount of black eyeliner.

Her strange and vacant selfies on the social media platform has been one of the elements that has led her fans to establish the #FreeBritney movement.

"Mental illness is real, and can be even in those we love. We will always love Britney," one fan wrote.

"She looks lovely, and is truly one of the kindest and most humble superstars ever. She doesn't deserve the life of captivity she lives," a second comment read.

"Nothing behind the eyes in every single pic. Nothing. Her poor soul," a third person wrote.

Britney's father Jamie is currently the conservator over Britney's $60 million estate.

He claims he and the "Stronger" singer had remained on "good terms" until her lawyer Samuel D. Ingham III got involved.

Jamie believes he is responsible for the lack of communication and plotted to have him taken out of his head role of the conservatorship.

Last year, a Los Angeles court ruled that Bessemer Trust will join Jamie as co-conservator to the pop star's fortune.

Despite his win, Jamie believes his daughter has been swayed by "those with self-serving interests."

"I have and will continue to provide unwavering love and fierce protection against those with self-serving interests and those who seek to harm her or my family."
