As Britney Spears continues to enjoy her newfound freedom, the pop singer is finally opening up on how harrowing her conservatorship ordeal truly was. After 13 years of living in a toxic environment, Britney's freedom was finally granted to her when her father, Jamie Spears was suspended from reigning control over her conservatorship.

The singer celebrated the news by taking a trip to the French Polynesia with her fiancé Sam Asghari. On October 5, the singer took to Instagram to reveal terrifying details of her mistreatment during the conservatorship, and criticized her family while thanking her lawyer for being on her side.

Britney Wasn't Permitted Any Privacy

In a lengthy caption posted to Instagram, Britney shared a mere fraction of what she had been put through in the last decade. She urged her fans to help anyone who had been in a conservatorship, and shared examples of what she had experienced through it.

The singer wasn't permitted to have any privacy by owning a phone, car or even having a door to her room.

"I suggest if you have a friend that’s been in a house that feels really small for four months … no car … no phone … no door for privacy and they have to work around 10 hours a day 7 days a week and give tons of blood weekly with never a day off … I strongly suggest you go pick up your friend and get them the hell outta there!!!!" she wrote.

Spears further criticized her family for being inconsiderate and not helping her when she needed it most. The singer also thanked her lawyer Matthew Rosengart for "changing her life".

"If you’re like my family who says things like “sorry, you’re in a conservatorship” … probably thinking you’re different so they can f**k with you !!!! Thankfully I found an amazing attorney Mathew Rosengart who has helped change my life!!!!" she gushed in the caption.

The three-hour-long court hearing last week only suspended Jamie Spears from having any control over Spears and her fortune, but her conservatorship is yet to be eradicated entirely.

Fans hope that on November 12 which is Britney's next court date, the singer can put her devastating past behind herself once and for all, and focus on her new future while enjoying retirement.
