Despite reports that there’s disagreement over their prenuptial arrangement, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have set a date for their wedding.

As Page Six reports, Sam confirmed the news on his Instagram Story without revealing the specific date. “Our lives have been a real fairy tale,” he wrote alongside a photo of him and Britney from their engagement last year.

“Happy Mother’s Day to you my soon to be queen,” the fitness instructor continued. “Also, the big day has been set!” Sam added. “But nobody will know until the day after.”

Britney & Sam Disagree Over Their Prenup

Britney and Sam got engaged last September following the termination of her decade-long conservatorship. The couple shared images on their respective social media accounts confirming the news.

“Talent Manager Brandon Cohen of BACtalent is proud to celebrate and confirm the engagement of client Sam Asghari to Britney Spears,” Sam’s representative confirmed to the press. “The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them,” he added.

Britney later revealed she was expecting their first child together last month. The pop star previously revealed her conservatorship was preventing her from getting married and removing her IUD.

However, there may be another challenge standing in the way of Britney and Sam saying ‘I do’ – their prenuptial arrangements. Despite setting a wedding date, reports say the couple haven’t agreed to the terms of the arrangement.

According to OK! Magazine, one source said, “The talks have been taking longer than usual.” They added, "Sam wants substantial increases for every five years they are married, should it end.” Another insider said that while the prenup conversations are “respectable,” Sam is concerned with ensuring he doesn’t "end up penniless if they separate."

Although she only recently gained control of her $60 million fortune, the source said Britney is “staying out of the entire [prenuptial] process” and “she’s just letting her lawyers hash it out with Sam’s team.”

It appears Britney is more concerned about other aspects of her wedding, like her gown. In November, the ‘Toxic’ songstress revealed Donatella Versace agreed to make her a custom dress. The iconic designer has been photographed making several trips to Britney’s estate, presumably to iron out the details of the wedding dress.

It’s unclear if Sam and Britney plan to tie the knot before the arrival of their baby. The singer’s due date is unknown. Britney already shares two sons – Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15 – with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
