Britney Spears fans are convinced they have figured out why the singer posted a picture of a red fridge freezer.

Fans claim it was a secret message to them and possibly a cry for help. The "Oops...I Did It Again" singer remains trapped in a 13-year conservatorship controlled by her father.

One fan wrote the fridge is a play on the word "Freeze Britney."  The Free Britney movement aims to release her from the legally binding conservatorship which controls her finances and her life.

On Tuesday, Britney first shared a picture of herself wearing a green bra under a black sheer lace top with the caption: "Twisted Elegance … introducing RED !!!!"

The only problem was there was no red in the picture.

One fan wrote: "There's literally no red here friend..."

"I hope you’re doing okay, stay safe. i love u," another added.

"I've seen that blank stare many times working in ER. There's definitely something not clicking with her. I'm just wondering how well her medication is being monitored. Unfortunately, for people who have psychological issues, the prescribed medication needs to be changed or the dosage increased to get the same effect," a third chimed in.

"I am a huge Britney fan and I always will be a Britney fan however the eyes don't lie. She's deeply disturbed," a fourth commented.

The cryptic posts comes after fans criticized the pop star's mother for sending her a throwback video of her singing.

The "Stronger" star revealed to her 28.8 million followers that her mother Lynne sent her the clip to her to encourage her to get back into singing.

The 39-year-old captioned the clip: "Geez … My mom sent this to me and reminded me that I can sing !!!! She said "You never sing anymore … you need to again !!!!'"

"I've actually never watched this performance … it's definitely from a while ago !!!! It's from one of the first trips I took alone ... mostly I just remember saying 'WOW Singapore' !!!!!"

In the clip, Brit is seen wearing a black satin slip dress as she sings her cover of The Jets' "You Got It All." Her version appeared on some international versions of her second studio album "Oops!... I Did It Again."

"Her mother needs to have her back and acknowledge why she won't sing! Sounds like manipulation to me. Don't do it Brit! Stand your ground! We love your voice but love YOU more," one fan wrote online.
