Park Ji-Min is one of a kind in the K-Pop world. He is an endearing idol who works very hard and showed his dedication, even before becoming a member of BTS. Before joining the band, Jimin was class valedictorian and president for nine years. His passion for dancing encouraged him to attend the Just Dance Academy and Korean Arts High School, where fellow member V also attended.

Because of his background in dancing, his role as the main dancer makes sense for the group, along with his beautifully high-pitched singing. Here are 10 things you need to know about the Mochi, or Jimin.

10 Last, But Definitely Not Least

How the music industry works in South Korea is completely different in the West. Entertainment companies reveal a band member one by one to create hype and interest around the debuting group.

Out of the BTS members, Jimin was the last to join. Being the final member was a bit detrimental, as he received less training by the time he joined, but he still managed to stand out on his own.

9 Goes By His Birth Name

Whereas RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, and V go by their stage names, Jungkook and Jimin are the only members to go by their birth name. Jimin did have some nicknames to choose from, including Baby J, Baby G, or Young Kid.

As he was not a fan of those stage names, he opted to go by his first name, as it suited him better, and fans couldn't agree more. However, Jimin has considered an English stage name for himself - Christian Chim Chim.

8 Eyeliner Is Essential To Him

BTS members know how to look glamourous in their music videos, on stage, or during interviews. Jimin is one of the most beautiful idols ever, and it is all thanks to eyeliner! In fact, the cosmetic is very important for The Mochi as, without it, he wouldn't have the confidence he needs for dancing.

Without eyeliner, he feels shy, unprepared, and unable to show strong expressions. If anything, he could become a great makeup artist if he were to have other plans after BTS.

7 Super Dedicated To Training

Because of being the last member to join BTS, Jimin's training was not long as he would have liked. Compared to the leader RM, who trained for four years, Jimin only had a measly one year of training.

His commitment to catch up with the other boys is admirable but also worrying, too. He would practice for hours until around 1 or 2 A.M. without rest. Thankfully, his firsthand experience with dancing before joining BTS paid off well.

6 Felt Sorry For Kicking His Fellow Members

BTS' debut was in the form of the dark sounding, but meaningful song "No More Dream." The music video displayed the boys' intense choreography and it was definitely a strong start for the band's first impression.

The dances were so fierce that it involved Jimin kicking his band members as they stood in a line. Even if it was part of the choreography, Jimin felt sorry for having to do that in every performance.

5 Skincare And Accessories Are Everything

It is not just eyeliner that Jimin appreciates, but skincare and certain accessories are important to him, too. The former part of his routine is surprisingly simple, even if his skin looks absolutely flawless.

Jimin's skincare routine involves drinking water, especially during plane rides to stay hydrated, and washing his face before applying moisturizing cream after a long day. As for accessories, Jimin loves wearing necklaces and has piercings in both his ears. He first got one when he became a trainee under Big Hit Entertainment.

4 Confident Eyes

BTS have answered many interesting questions throughout their years as a band. One of them involves what body part one is most comfortable with. For example, V is confident about his hands, while RM likes his skin.

Given that Jimin relies heavily on eyeliner, he feels most confident about his eyes. They are very alluring and mesmerizing, so he has that going for him. Whenever he wakes up every morning, he does eye exercises, emphasizing how important his eyes are to him.

3 Went Through His Personal Hardships

It was not easy for Jimin to make his way as one of the biggest K-Pop idols in music history. Remember how dedicated he was to his training? During the band's beginnings, Jimin viewed himself as pudgy and was very self-conscious about his looks, notably his cheeks.

He put himself on a strict diet consisting of eating one meal for 10 days. Jin talked him out of the diet, though, and he started eating regularly. Today, he is happier, and regardless of his body size, he looks perfect to the fans.

2 His Superpower Would Be ...

Jimin's love for animals is boundless. If he were to have a superpower, The Mochi would most definitely want to have the ability to talk to animals, especially dogs.

Fans need only to look at any video, gif, or clip of Jimin with animals, and he could compete with a Disney princess. Hopefully sometime soon or years from now, he will be a proud owner of an adorable dog.

1 Has The Most Viewed Fan Cam

Fancams are everywhere, especially on Twitter. Currently, Jimin has the highest view count for a Fancam on YouTube for his performance of the song "Fake Love." With over 100 million views, fans are entranced by Jimin's vocal and dance talent.

For just a Fancam alone, this is huge for any K-Pop idol. If there's any star that can achieve this incredible record, Jimin has the power to do it.
