cadbury-Bunny

Meet the adorable winner of Cadbury's first ever "Bunny Tryouts" competition-- an English bulldog from Wilmington, North Carolina, named Henri.

Henri the bulldog will replace Cadbury's iconic clucking bunny as the star of the annual ad campaign for the cream-filled chocolate eggs, in a first for the company in 35 years. The new ad will premiere next month, just in time for the April 21st holiday. For Easter 2019, the Cadbury team wanted to find their new mascot, where owners snapped photos of pets wearing a pair of bunny ears. According to the official rules of the contest, the panel of judges scored the photo submissions based on whether the pet was wearing bunny ears plus the photos' creativity and brand appeal.

Cadbury also donated $10,000 to the ASPCA in honor of the competition.

"When people see the iconic Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercial, they know Easter season is here," said Katrina Vatter, Marketing Team Member, Cadbury U.S. brand. "For the first time in over 35 years, we are honored to expand our tradition and welcome Henri as a new character to the commercial."

Henri will make his debut with the Cadbury bunny himself in this year’s commercial, which will be released in April.

More than 4,000 entries were submitted of pets wearing bunny ears for the contest. Check out some of the other 19 semi-finalists which include mostly cats and dogs but also a lizard, a llama, a horse, a goat and a bearded dragon and they are all adorable!
