Cameron Diaz and Jim Carrey’s chemistry in the 1994 flick, The Mask, translated not only on-camera but also behind the scenes, which left many fans wondering at one point whether the two were quietly seeing one another.

Both actors have denied ever sharing a romance, but some people seem to think otherwise, and that’s mainly because of the doting photos that are online of the pair embracing each other on red carpets and other Hollywood events.

It’s no secret that ever since working on the motion picture, Cameron, who is worth $140 million, and Jim have remained friends, and while they appear to share a close bond with one another, there has never been anything more but a friendship between the two.

Cameron Diaz And Jim Carrey Dating Rumors

A simple Google search of Jim and Cameron and a bunch of photos pop up of the two sharing what appears to be some sort of closeness — since their reps denied there ever having been a relationship between the two, one would assume they’re just very close friends.

When Cameron filmed the comedy flick back in 1994, she gushed on how much fun she had working on set with Jim, who made the experience all the more special when he, along with other cast and crew, helped celebrate her 21st birthday in the midst of shooting the film.

"I can't believe I get to make films twenty years later," Cameron revealed in a 2014 interview with Ellen Degeneres.

"I turned 21 on the set of that film, and I'll never forget it, because, obviously, you turn 21 and you're like 'wooo, 21!'"

"And we were working nights, so Jim [Carrey] kind of helped me celebrate. The whole crew helped me celebrate that night.”

What seems to have propelled the dating rumors between Jim and Cameron was the announcement that the latter had called it quits with her longtime boyfriend, Carlos De La Torre, at the time.

The success of The Mask turned Cameron into a household name, and as her career took off, her romance with Torre started to crumble.

And while some may have thought that her split with her ex was to open the doors for a relationship with Jim to blossom, the former model ended up dating actor Matt Dillon. The two would star in the 1998 film There’s Something About Mary, but after two years of dating, the pair split shortly after the movie’s release.

Soon after that, Cameron started dating rockstar and actor Jared Leto in 1999 before he popped the question to her the following year. By 2003, however, things appeared to have gone downhill as it was revealed that the ex-couple had ultimately decided not to move ahead with their wedding plans and call it quits.

That same year, the mother of one started dating Justin Timberlake — their romance lasted for four years before going their separate ways in 2007, but unlike her other exes, JT and CD would end up working together on the 2011 comedy, Bad Teacher.

Other men Cameron is said to have dated following the end of her relationship with Justin include Adam Levine, Paul Sculfor, and Alex Rodriguez, who later come forward and said that the blonde beauty would always remain a close friend of his despite their decision to split.

In 2015, Cameron married Good Charlotte star Benji Madden in a Jewish ceremony at her home in Beverly Hills. The pair were intruded by the actress’ now-sister-in-law Nicole Richie, who Is married to Benji’s brother, Joel Madden.

Then, in December 2019, Cameron announced she and Benji had welcomed a baby girl named Raddix in an official statement on Instagram.

In her IG post, the Charlie’s Angels star wrote: "Happy New Year from the Maddens! We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden.

"She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family. While we are overjoyed to share this news, we also feel a strong instinct to protect our little one's privacy.

“So we won't be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact that she is really really cute!! Some would even say RAD."

In 2014, Cameron announced that after the release of her family film, Annie, she would be retiring from acting — and by the look of things, it seems as if she meant every word of it.

The San Diego native hasn’t starred in a movie ever since, having since fouled her attention on building her lifestyle brand while spending much quality time raising her daughter.

The 48-year-old is said to be worth a reported $140 million, so it’s not like she’s going to be running out of money anytime soon.
