Known for starring in adult movies, Jenna Jameson has lived a public life ever since the '90s. She has always talked about her health and let her fans in on her everyday life, like when Jameson stopped the keto diet because she enjoys eating carbs. But while she has a positive attitude on her Instagram account, the celebrity suffers from a long-term illness that began in 2022. When she couldn't walk anymore, Jameson was definitely concerned, and a hospital stay didn't give her answers.

Jenna Jameson continues to let her fans know exactly what's going on with her health on her social media, and there has also been a big change in her love life. Even though the star seems to be in a healthier and happier place, there's no doubt that this illness is still something that she has to deal with every day.

Did Jenna Jameson Have Guillain-Barré Syndrome?

Celebrities like Selena Gomez are honest about having a life-changing illness and while getting a diagnosis is never easy, it at least allows people to focus on a treatment plan and begin healing. Jenna Jameson has had a different experience. When she realized that she couldn't walk, Jameson went to the hospital in January 2022 and according to People, she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, which affects the brain and immune system. When someone suffers from this disease, they will find it hard to move, and can even experience "temporary paralysis."

But when Jameson was given immunoglobulin therapy, which is meant to help those who suffer from this illness, it turned out that she didn't have the condition after all. However, she wasn't given another diagnosis, which sounds frustrating and tough.

Jameson's then-fiance Lior Bitton said on Instagram that it was obvious something was very wrong because "Her muscles in her legs were very weak. So she wasn't able to walk to the bathroom."

How Is Jenna Jameson's Health Now?

While Jenna Jameson has been walking for over a year, it definitely seems like it has been a long, terrible ordeal. In the spring of 2022, she told fans that she needed a walker: "I am slowly but surely building back strength. I am walking around — with a walker. My legs have lost a lot of muscle so I am busy trying to build it back. This has been not only physically taxing but I think, more than that, just really mentally challenging. Very mentally challenging."

In July 2022, Jenna Jameson said that she was walking without using anything, which was a big deal and definitely something to celebrate. According to Page Six, she posted a video for her fans to see and wrote, “I wanna show you guys that I’m walking, unaided. I mean, I’m not walking perfectly but at least I’m up on my feet." She wrote to her fans a day later, "I’m feeling better. I’m able to walk pretty well. How cool is that? Feeling a lot better.”

On February 24th, 2023, she shared on her Instagram, "Walking unaided finally! Happiness is creeping in… thanks to everyone for all the uplifting messages… it means so much to me."

Anyone suffering from a long-term health condition knows that it can be a process to figure out the best way to heal. In December 2022, Jameson thanked a company called Desert Moon Wellness IV, which is located in Las Vegas, Nevada, for being part of her "recovery." People can go there for vitamin shots, IV Therapy, Light Therapy, and Hyperbaric Oxygen. It seems that she receives minerals and vitamins through IV Therapy there.

The star has a highlight on her Instagram where she explained what her health is like, which she recorded last year. She said that because her legs were "starting to come back to life," that made it tough to sleep because it was "painful." She let her fans know that she would be fighting to get back to health as she said "Bottom line is, we all know that I am a warrior. I've been through a lot in my life."

Fans seem to like following Jameson on social media because even though she has been so famous, she doesn't mind being vulnerable. She said that she is often frustrated by her poor health because she feels she has struggled before and she should have an easier path now. This is a relatable thought and chances are that many people who have chronic illness have had the same sentiment.

Jameson also noted that while she was being tested often, doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong or what had caused her inability to walk.
