Conservative author and political commentator, Candace Owens, laced into Cardi B’s entire image and persona on Fox News Live, and Cardi B fluffed this off like it was absolutely no big deal at all. In fact, she seemed excited to make the news. Any press is good press for Cardi B, although it’s clear that Candace Owens feels very differently about this situation.

Owens attacked Cardi B’s performance of WAP on the Grammys, slamming her vulgarity, and suggesting it’s a gross representation of the demise the youth in our society.

Cardi B’s response to being dragged on a live news broadcast gives fans a clear indication that this has absolutely no bearing on her life. If anything, she finds it exciting to be featured on a news channel that would otherwise not bear her name.

Candace Owens Slams Cardi B

Candace Owens didn’t just lash out against Cardi B, she took hard aim at her for perpetuating an entire culture that she doesn’t agree with. Speaking out on Fox News Live, she began talking about the state of America, and blamed the likes of Cardi B for the societal demise in the country.

“You have kids learning that they should aspire to people like Cardi B,” she said. She continued by saying; “Fundamentally we are seeing the destruction of American values and American principals. It’s terrifying. I think parents should be terrified that this is the direction that our society is heading towards. And again, we are weakening America. This is a weakening of American society.”

The attack was a direct response to the very seductive, overly sexualized content in Cardi B’s performance of WAP, which featured her vulgar lyrics with a visual demonstration on stage.

Cardi Doesn't Care

Proving to be too inappropriate for many audiences, Owens called out this display of exploitative behavior by saying; “It feels like we are looking at corrosion, like we are about to see the end of an empire. America cannot survive, it cannot be sustained under these sorts of values and principles.”

In spite of the fact that Candace tore an absolute strip out of everything that Cardi B stands for, Cardi perceives this as being added attention to her name and she’s quite fine with all of it.

She isn’t shy about using her body or sexualizing her lyrics and performances. To Cardi, this is art and entertainment, which is a blank canvas and open to anyone’s influence, including her own.
