Kim Kardashian is now a billionaire according to Forbes and that's thanks to her mega-successful cosmetics brand KKW Beauty and her shapewear line SKIMS. However, the reality star has come a long way to reach her billionaire status.

Fans were first introduced to Kim Kardashian on Keeping Up With the Kardashians in 2007, and the show slowly turned Kim along with her entire family into huge stars, with each sister, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie Jenner, and brother Rob, venturing into their own million-dollar businesses. However, no one has come close to Kim's billion-dollar status, however, younger sister Kylie is bound to reach the billionaire list any day now.

Kim Kardashian has always had a passion for fashion and was once a stylist for singer Brandy Norwood. When she was younger the reality star shared how she would sell designer shoes at a higher markup and began selling off her own clothes.

This would lead to Kim and her sisters opening up their very own boutique called Dash, which was seen on their reality television show. The women opened up a store in California, and later had locations in Miami and New York City.

7 'Kim Kardashian: Hollywood' Game Takes Hold

In 2014, Kim Kardashian ventured into something completely different when she went into the world of tech and launched her own game of iPhone and Android called "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood."

According to The New York Times, in its first five days, the game reportedly grossed $1.6 million and as of 2018, the game was bringing in around $8 million in a quarter.

6 She Sold Millions With Her Perfume Launches

Kim Kardashian and her sisters have launched several fragrances, but her most sought-after perfumes have been from her KKW Fragrance collections. The reality star first introduced her fans to three crystal-themed scents in 2017, and later would collaborate with each of her sisters for their very own special line of fragrances.

5 Kim Launches KKW Beauty

KKW Beauty would become one of the biggest and most successful ventures Kim Kardashian has ever done and it also brought her to her billionaire status. KKW Beauty was born in 2017 and first started off with contour kits that sold out immediately and made $14 million in just one day when it was released.

She went on to produce more products for the line, including lipsticks, lip liners, eyeshadow palettes, and even a body foundation, which were all huge hits for the star.

4 She Created Her SKIMS Soultionwear Soon After

Soon after the success of her beauty company, Kim Kardashian introduced her fans to a shapewear line that she called SKIMS, in 2019. The line sells everything from shapewear, loungewear, bras, and bodysuits, with the reality star announcing in 2020 that she made a deal with Nordstrom to have the outlet sell her line.

According to The Times, SKIMS reported $145 million in sales in 2020, and it is expected to double in 2021.

3 She Shared A 20% Stake In Her Cosmetics Company

After agreeing to sell a stake in her cosmetics line KKW Beauty to Coty, Forbes reported that the reality star was worth $900 million. Kardashian sold the stake to the beauty giant for $200 million, which made her net worth grow even higher, and valued KKW Beauty at $1 billion. 

Kylie Jenner had also made a deal with Coty before her big sister Kim when she sold 51% of Kylie Cosmetics at a valuation of $1.2 billion.

2 Kim Has Several Endorsement Deals

Kim Kardashian has had several endorsements which Forbes also shared has helped to launch the reality star into the billionaires club. According to Kardashian, she receives $300,000 to half a million dollars for a single Instagram post, and for long-term endorsements, she has signed multi-million dollar deals, including a $6 million deal with a wearable consumer goods company.

While some people may say that Kim Kardashian found success easily thanks to her parents, she has worked hard for her career and continues to have a had in a variety of businesses, speaking at conferences, and has been doing it all while pursuing a law degree.

According to Distractify, Kardashian is now a year away from taking the bar exam. She also credits studying law has made her into a better and more successful businesswoman.
