Catfish is one of MTV's most controversial and entertaining reality shows. It stars one Nev Schulman, a slew of famous cohosts, and desperate people who are not having any luck in love. Their bum luck isn't ghosting or a string of bad first dates, though. These poor folks think that the person they are with might be an entirely different person altogether! This series has sure given us some uncomfortable moments.

The concept is called catfishing, and it is the king of all shadiness. You've met someone online or through the mail, you've connected with them, communicated with them, share all that is you with them, and then you get a nagging sense that perhaps something is off. Something is just not adding up. This is where Nev and friends come in. They get to the bottom of things, and stories almost always get a little twisty. Here are some of our favorite Catfish cohosts.

10 Jane Carrey

After Nev's original cohost, Max, ended his run on the show, the creators decided to try on a ton of celebrity cohorts for size. One of those first guest hosts was comedian Jim Carrey's daughter, Jane.

Jane revealed that she had been a fan of the series ever since its conception, and had always wanted to be a part of it. She was fortunate enough to have friends involved in the series, as becoming a cohost was a natural fit. It's easy to see why Jane was chosen to be a host. She is friendly, open, and funny.

9 Nick Young

Basketball pro, Nick Young, appeared as Nev's sidekick in an episode where the fellas tried to track down Rich Dollaz from Love and Hip Hop: New York for a woman who had been communicating with him over social media.

They traveled to Long Island to meet Shiela, who had become increasingly frustrated over eight months of minimal contact with the supposed aspiring rapper. After some super-sleuthing, Nick and Nev discover that Dollaz's nephew is the one who Shiela has been revealing herself to this whole time.

8 Tallulah Willis

The youngest daughter of formerly married A list actors, Bruce Willis, and Demi Moore also cohosted on Catfish. Together, she and Nev assisted a woman named Taylor to detangle a very messy online affair.

Taylor thought that she was communicating with a former high school pal and asked for Nev and company's help. A rabbit hole of clues and lies end up leading Nev and Tallulah to Atlanta, where they discover that Taylor was actually behind setting the whole Catfishing thing up herself, and everyone who appeared on the show was in on it.

7 Zeke Thomas

The son of basketball icon Isaiah Thomas, Zeke Thomas, also acted as a Catfish cohost. Thomas and Nev answered the call of a guy named Truth, fitting, who had some worried about the man he was communicating with over social media. Truth had become increasingly frustrated over his paramour's inability to FaceTime or see him in person.

Even after Truth purchased a plane ticket to visit, the guy he was after, named Ray' Quan, canceled due to an apparent illness. Very fishy indeed. In the end, Ray-Quan is really who he says he is, but he has no interest in Truth in the way Truth thought.

6 Slick Woods

The famous model pounced on the chance to cohost Catfish They did this because one of the "pretend Brians" (Courtney,)" had a thing for Aubri and was hoping to use the Brian account to get to know her better.and put an end to people's lies and such.

She and Nev help a college student get to the bottom of a Snapchat affair. It turns out that Aubri had been set up by two college friends, Courtney and Janisa, who posed as Aubri's online interest, Brian. Slick had enough of this malarky and called just about everyone out for their bad behavior.

5 Elle King

Sultry singer Elle King, who is the daughter of funnyman Rob Schneider, appeared as a cohost in season 7 of Catfish. She revealed that she had been a fan of the show for years, and was ready to put her "crazy ex-girlfriend" skills to work to help those being duped get to the bottom of their messiness.

She claimed that she could hack into just about anything, and was ready to put her skills to use! This lady really is a true talent and ended up being one of our favorite cohosts ever to grace the show.

Todrick Hall was one of the best Catfish cohorts because not only did he help Nev uncover twisted tales of internet lies and deception, but he also played the role of a therapist after the catfishing scheme was revealed.

3 Machine Gun Kelley

These days, Machine Gun Kelly is spending all of his free time with actress Megan Fox, but before that, he had a moment to cohost Catfish. He helped crack codes back in season four of the series. In this episode, Hundra had a thing for Emily, but Emily wasn't who she said she was and was using someone else's pics on her account.

Then someone named Gerelyn enters the picture, and she tells MGK and Nev that it was Hundra who asked her to pretend to be Melanie so that Hundra would get on the show.

2 Charlamagne Tha God

Charlamagne Tha God also starred as a cohost in season four of Catfish. He and Nev came to the aid of a single mom named Miracle. Miracle thought that she had a real connection with Javonni, but it is later revealed that Javonni is nowhere close to who "he" pretends to be.

Miracle is mad, Charlamagne Tha God is mad, everyone is pretty mad. In the end, Miracle and pretend-Javonni meet and hug it out before going on their merry ways. Oh, the woes of internet dating.

1 Kamie Crawford

When it comes to Catfish hosts, beautiful Kamie Crawford takes the cake. She was so well received by fans and viewers that she continued to reappear on the show as a cohost to Nev.

The former pageant queen lit up the small screen with his witty humor and her no-nonsense attitude. People genuinely never wanted her to leave the series and hoped that she would end up being a permanent fixture. Of all the cohorts, it is Kamie Crawford, who ranks our all-time favorite.
