When Ariana Grande was on Nickelodeon's Sam & Cat, Ariana's hair went through a lot of hardships. Her natural dark and curly hair was being dyed red for years. According to Grande, it "destroyed" her hair, leading to using wigs.

Actress Sarah Hyland has been very open about her health journey as she battled kidney dysplasia and underwent two kidney transplants. The 29-year-old described the kind of hardships her mind and body went through during her darkest days but appears to be on the mend in 2020.

However, Sarah lost a lot of hair during her treatments, which meant she had to play around with wigs and extensions for her role as Haley Dunphy in Modern Family

1 Ashley Benson

Ashley Benson played Hanna Marin in Freeform's Pretty Little Liars. The show was a raving success and fans became obsessed with Hanna and her style. They also noticed how different Hanna's hair looked in certain scenes, and that's probably because they were toying around with bleach and wigs for far too long.

According to Benson, "I bleached my hair so much during season three and it fell right off and you couldn’t even tell!" She continued that bleaching her hair was her "biggest regret." After so much damage, the team turned to wigs.
