Rapper Rick Ross has a reported net worth of $40 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, which he earned from his successful music career and being the CEO of the record label Mayback Music.

However, his current net worth could also be attributed to owning around 10 Wingstop franchises in multiple states in the South, according to Zacsburgers.com. The rapper loves his wings so much, he's rapped about lemon pepper wings several times.

9 Phil Mickelson

Professional golfer Phil Mickelson is a huge fan of the Five Guys franchise, which sells tasty burgers and fries, and owns five of them in Orange County, California, according to CNBC.

Mickelson did admit that he grew up eating the state's beloved In-N-Out Burger, but shared, "I thought that was the best burger until I had Five Guys. That is hands down the best burger I've ever had."

8 Venus Williams

Tennis star Venus Williams was on a search to find healthier options to chow down on, and when she discovered Jamba Juice, a smoothie franchise, Williams became a huge fan.

Williams loved the franchise so much, she bought four of them in the Washington D.C. areas. When buying her fourth location she shared, "I share Jamba's mission to inspire and simplify healthy living and promote a healthy active lifestyle and I am pleased to know this location will have a positive impact on the local community through not only our products, but also through various programs and fundraisers."

7 Peyton Manning

Former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning was heavily involved in his ownership of 31 Papa John's establishments throughout the Denver, Colorado area when he played for the Denver Broncos.

Fans saw him in countless commercials and he would even deliver a few pizzas himself. However, Sports Casting reported that Manning has since sold all of his Papa John's franchises due to declining sales.

6 Shaquille O'Neal

Shaquille O'Neal is known as the king of franchises owning several different fast-food chains including, 155 Five Guys, 17 Auntie Annie's Pretzels restaurants, a Krispy Kreme franchise, and nine Papa John's.

In an interview for the Wall Street Journal, the former NBA star admitted that he started looking at owning doughnut shops like Krispy Kreme because, "I like doughnuts, and Charles Barkey loves doughnuts. And he's my biggest customer. I wanna be a large part of that business."

5 Chris Brown

According to Food Beast, singer Chris Brown owns over 10 Burger King franchises but admitted that he isn't a huge fan of pork or beef.

Even though Brown won't be chowing down on a Whopper, the rapper, like so many other stars have found owning a few franchises as a great investment. It's also reported that to own one Burger King, a person must have a minimum net worth of $1.5 million.

4 Drew Brees

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has been a fan of sandwich franchise Jimmy John's since his college days at Purdue University. So when he became the successful football star he is today, it was a given that he'd invest in buying a few Jimmy John's.

According to ZacsBurgers, Brees is the owner of five Jimmy John's in Louisiana and apparently has made a few pit stops to his locations to take photos with his fans.

3 Hank Aaron

Baseball legend Hank Aaron who sadly passed away in January of this year, owns 24 Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen franchises which are scattered throughout the Atlanta, Georgia area, according to What Now Atlanta.

He was also the owner of 755 Restaurant Corporation which not only owns several Popeyes but also owns two Krispy Kreme locations in Atlanta and Georgia.

2 Jimmy Buffett

Musician Jimmy Buffett is another star who has invested in the Krispy Kreme franchise with locations in Florida. According to Global Franchise Magazine, his investment became even more prosperous when the musician, the parent company, and other franchisees came together to create the South Florida Partnership.

Buffett isn't a stranger to owning food establishments, founding the popular Margaritaville Cafe in 1977.

1 Mark Wahlberg

Actor Mark Wahlberg is one of the latest stars to own his own franchise when he and his brothers, Paul and Donnie create the casual dining restaurant, Wahlburgers. The restaurant offers burgers, sandwiches, and housemade shakes.

Currently, there are 49 locations across the United States, two in Canada, and one in Germany.
