When you have a pet, you know just how important that creature is to you, and that you'd do anything for it. There's no love like the unconditional love of a pet, which is why we're so good to our animals. When it comes to celebrities, they're no different. Despite the fact that they have quite different lifestyles than us, many of them still have the time to have a dog or a cat, or any other pet that would make them happy.

Just because they live lavish lifestyles doesn't mean that they have to have the best pure-bred pets. Many celebrities have actually gone and opened their home and their hearts to rescue animals in need. They've gone on to take these animals from a bad situation and give them the loving home that they deserve.

10 Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande is a huge animal lover, and it's pretty obvious based on her Instagram photos. Ariana has so much love for dogs, especially rescue dogs. Ariana has a total of ten dogs — yes, that's TEN dogs — and each and every one of them is a rescue dog. If you check out Ariana's social media you'll most likely see Ophelia, Fawkes, Cinnamon, Coco, Lafayette, Sirius, Strauss, pignoli, Toulouse, or Myron. Some of Ariana's pets have made an appearance in her music videos and other works. She also adopted her dog Myron with Mac Miller, and she took him in when Mac sadly passed away.

9 Joe Biden

President Joe Biden may have just taken office, but there's a lot of buzz surrounding his dogs that will be joining him at the White House. The Bidens have two German Shepherds, one named Champ, and the other named Major. President Biden actually rescued Major from a shelter in 2018. As a result, he will become the first dog rescued from a shelter to live at the White House.

The program found the perfect Basset Hound from Perry County Dog Shelter. The dog that they had chosen was a stray without a home, so they knew that he would be the perfect match. Once the Arquettes adopted him, they named him Dallas, and now he's a happy and healthy dog in a very loving home.

7 Ian Somerhalder

Ian Somerhalder and his wife Nikki Reed are huge animal lovers and advocates. Over the years that they've been together, they've adopted quite a few animals and have given them a loving home. When they first got together and started dating, the two adopted a kitten together after a few months of dating. Ian and Nikki were visiting an animal shelter when they saw the kitten and immediately fell in love with her, adopting her on the spot. She's one of many adopted fur babies in the Ian and Nikki household.

The Labelle Foundation is based in Los Angeles, and it is an animal rescue that's devoted to saving, rehabilitating, and advocating for dogs. This little pup is definitely lucky to call Dua Lipa and Anwar Hadid his parents! This is the first fur baby for the couple, and we hope that they'll consider adopting more in the future.

The kitten was nicknamed Verrazano after the bridge, and Whoopi decided to shorten it to Vinny. Whoopi showed off the adorable kitten on The View and gushed about how much she loved him already. It's safe to say that Whoopi will give Vinny the best, loving home out there.
