So far, the 2020s have seen their share of problems, hurdles, obstacles... whatever word you choose to describe this rather tumultuous new decade. COVID-19 and the global pandemic that resulted from the virus has caused us to not only alter our way of life to a certain degree, but it has brought out some of our less than admirable qualities, such as anger and rage.

This pandemic-induced rage is not merely limited to regular folk. Indeed, the world of glitz and glamour has found itself frothing at the mouth, spewing venom and cursing names. Hollywood's celebrity feuds are nothing new; however, being within the grip of a global pandemic seems to have sparked an unprecedented flame of rage in the celebrity world.

6 Taylor Swift And Kim Kardashian

Taylor Swift has never steered clear of confrontation and has had her share of run-ins in the past. This particular feud has roots stretching all the way back to Kanye West’s infamous interruption of Swift’s 2009 VMA Best Female Video award acceptance. Things continued to escalate as West’s then-wife Kim Kardashian inserted herself into the mix in 2016, releasing snippets of a phone call conversation between Swift and Kanye regarding using the “Bad Blood” singer's name in one of his songs. This feud has seen new life during the pandemic as Kim reignited the feud by posting a photo featuring a mannequin of Swift lying next to Kanye West, to which Swift responded in a Twitter post, “I never trust a narcissist, but they love me.”

Ultimately, Kardashian took to Twitter for the final words, writing, “@taylorswift13 has chosen to reignite an old exchange - that at this point in time feels very self-serving given the suffering millions of real victims are facing right now.”

5 Chrissy Teigen And Alison Roman

Back in May 2020, shortly after the beginning of the global lockdown, Chrissy Teigen and New York Times food columnist Alison Roman began to feud over social media. According to Vox, the feud stems from less than complimentary comments made by Roman directed at Marie Kondo (star of Netflix’s Tidying Up with Marie Kondo) and Teigen. This, in turn, caused the Lip Sync Battle host to fire back not with venom, but with shock. Chrissy would respond on Twitter saying, “this is a huge bummer and hit me hard. I have made her recipes for years now, bought the cookbooks, supported her on social and praised her in interviews. I even signed on to executive produce the very show she talks about doing in this article,” she continued, “Anyhow, now that that's out there, I guess we should probably unfollow each other @alisonroman.” Roman has since apologized with a lengthy Twitter message, and Teigen accepted her apology.

4 Axl Rose And Steven Mnuchin

Of all the hot-tempered, outspoken icons of rock, Axl Rose undoubtedly stands out among the crowd. Feuding with the likes of Kurt Cobain and Vince Neil back in the early 90s, Rose was never one to mince words. With the reemergence of Guns and Roses, Rose has found himself once again spewing venom. However, his target was an unlikely one in former Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin. “It’s official! Whatever anyone may have previously thought of Steve Mnuchin, he’s officially an asshole,” Rose tweeted seemingly out of nowhere according to Rolling Stone. This prompted a Twitter response by Steven that read, “What have you done for the country lately?” Since Axl tweeted the final word, there haven't been any further barbs from either part.

3 Megan Thee Stallion And Tory Lanez

This one gets a bit more serious as gun violence takes a feud to a new level. According to Vulture, back in August 2020, Megan Thee Stallion alleged that Tory Lanez was responsible for a gunshot wound to the “Body” singer’s foot. Taking to Instagram, Megan posted a video saying, “Yes, this n***** Tory shot me.” The Los Angeles Police Department launched an investigation in which witnesses to the event were unreliable, with some even claiming that Megan received her injuries via a broken glass, which Megan denies. However, on October 8, The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office announced felony assault and gun charges against Tory.

2 Sacha Baron Cohen And Rudy Giuliani

Beginning with Borat sequel, this feud stems from the controversy that emerged from the appearance of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani in the film. In an interview for Vanity’s Actors on Actors with Ben Affleck, Cohen shared his thoughts on Giuliani’s actions in the film, “We were scared that it would veer into an even more ugly situation.” Giuliani took to Twitter to dispel the negative press with a tweet that read, “The Borat video is a complete fabrication,” Rudy continued, “At no time before, during, or after the interview was I ever inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise, he is a stone-cold liar.” Things between the former Mayor and the actor seem to have simmered down.

1 Machine Gun Kelly And Conor McGregor

The Notorious One (Conor McGregor) is no stranger to having his name connected to some kind of feud. The brash Irishman’s fiery temper, charismatic wit and boastful demeanor are part of what made the former “champ-champ” a media darling from the start. However, recently, McGregor has taken his outlandish antics out of the octagon and into unfamiliar territory such as pubs, club, and even red carpet events. While attending the MTV Awards this past September, McGregor ran into Machine Gun Kelly while walking the red carpet. According to TMZ, the incident started after McGregor allegedly asked MGK for a photo, which the “Wild Boy'' singer declined. From there, things escalated into Kelly allegedly shoving McGregor, causing the Irishman to stumble, spilling his drink. Since the altercation, there has been no further activity from either party.
